always a good case to support charity...

I stumbled across this extension and, being new to Joomla, had no idea really what I was doing in respect to uploading extensions and so on.
I had a small glitch once uploaded, contacted the developer, and within 10 minutes I had a reply to my email and my problem was fixed.
I absolutely love this extension and that I am able to "make a difference" in a small way.
My deep thanks to the developer for making available such a worthy extension.

I really like this plugin. It is simple and it does what it is supposed to do with several support options and if you want to use it as a ad spot, you can of course use it for that as well.

If I could give this 6 stars, I would! I have installed this on several websites that use Joomla 1.0.x and 1.5.x. It worked first time, every time for me. I wanted to put up a different logo - for a charity supporting young people in difficult circumstances. I emailed the developer; he replied in a few minutes and agreed to help. I emailed him the logo that I wanted on the websites, and he returned the graphic a few minutes later. The idea of this extension is brilliant! And it works! Use it to help others.

Had a few issues when installing primarily because I was using an old copy of the module but didn't notice and then the mod_beInvolved.xml file corrupted on upload!

A little help from Douglas and all is working perfectly now.

Just installed this module on our site. The site support was superb and very helpful. I am running Joomla 1 and the image did not show up at first. I was not 100% sure on the module position so created a new one after help from the site owners and then with their help added the code to the template just after the BODY tag in the HTML and bingo... all works fine now. I just added a new image and link and it looks great. Once again thank you to the devs for great support and a great module.

Had a small issue with loading a custom image, as well as opening the link in the parent browser instead of a new one.
I filled in the contact form on Douglas' website an within a few hours (!) he mailed me a modified version.
In other words: GREAT SUPPORT for a great module!

I had some issues installing it, nor me or douglas know why, but I reinstalled it and worked like a charm
GREAT support in just a couple of minutes!!

I wish there could be a way of controlling the shape of the banner, in a way that the link just worked where the banner is present, not the whole square... but I guess it's really hard to achieve that.

This is a fantastic module. Simple to install and to use. It's for a good cause as well. What more could you ask for?

I had a few minor configuration issues (at my end, not the developer's) and I got very quick help. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised by the quick help... anyone who develops a mod like this is obviously someone who cares about what they do. Well done!

Love the community involvement from this extension. Easy to set up and easier to help make a difference.

I installed the extension with no problems but had one bug with the template I was using. I emailed the author and he worked on it over the weekend, then sent me a fix. Fantastic extension and great support; he really cares that it works for your needs.

I downloaded the Be Involved mod for 1.5, installed it and had trouble with my installation. Emailed support, got an answer within 24 hours with a new custom file attached, installed it and works like a dream. This is a great mod supporting some great causes. Download it!

This is one of the most easiest extension to setup without any issues! Be Involved! - Site corner image extension provides value for any site.

My only suggestion is to maybe make the image animated =D

I have to agree with another comment for future updates:
-an option to put the image on the top left of the module location.
-an option to show selected banners randomly

Just installed on J1.5 and I am done. Just took less than a minute to display on the corner.
PSD files also available for download, to make your own images hassle free. Thanks to the editor.
