CMS TopSites Component

CMS Top Sites lets Users, Web Masters or Affiliates automatically trade links with your Joomla site. TopSites ranks web sites from the ones who send in the most traffic. It is highly customizable and best of all, it is open source. This version should provide a stable TopSites system for Joomla/Mambo.

*fixed backend: icon not showing in Joomla 1.5
*added to backend: option to verify/un-verify members from the list

-=Version 1.1.3b Stable Changes=-

-fixed: on View sites, ad1 was being displayed twice, instead of Ad 1 & 2
-fixed: missing language text for the member get html page

*** CMS TopSites 1.1.3 Stable is now available download. This version should provide a stable TopSites system for Joomla and Mambo. CMS TopSites 1.1.2 Stable has been tested for CMS versions Joomla 1.0.15 , Mambo 4.6.5 and Joomla 1.5.7 (in legecy mode)

-=Version 1.1.2 Stable Changes=-
*added verify the members url, also it will add http:\\ if the url does not start with it.
*added logging of users Last IP used to edit the site data, and it displays in the backend under view sites
*fixed: When you register a new account and click the "Click here to get your insert Code", the actual code was always 0.
*fixed: A hyphen "-" is automatically added after the category name, before the description. If you didn't set a description for that category, the hyphen is still there. e.g.: In the front page, from View Categories -> "internet -"

After all the trouble I have had trying to make a banner list view and count using the native banner function in Joomla, this CMS-Topsite came as a Godsend!
It took a while to get in place, but that was my fault, not quite understanding it.

But the admin and a user on their site were immediately helpful and I was up and running in no-time!

A Topsite is not essential, as it basically is an edvertising lister for everyone else. But for certain segments this is actually a crucial function for visitor help.
I have tried in vain to get this to work on my 1.0.15 site (both a dev and test site) and so far have not been able to get it installed. To the developers credit he has tried to help but there must be a conflict with some other component I use - either way as said I could not get it to work. I have given it an average rating due to my difficulties but I still believe that this will be a good component once all the bugs are ironed out.
Owner's reply

Version RC4 has this error fixed, it was just a small bug in my code. Also I fixed the bug on your development site with the login you gave me. So try it out and let me know if are still experiencing difficulties.

Just remember RC4 is a release candidate and not a 100% bug free, Version 1.1 will be the stable release.
