User has opportunity to send Twitter from own Joomla! profile to own Twitter accound. Every user can send their own Twitter ;)
Twitter is a microblogging service, many times used from a Mobile device that friends, family, and co–workers use to stay connected with quick, frequent 140 character phrases.

Works well, however, if we are scheduling posts in the future it sends an update to twitter for articles that don't yet exist.
I think only this plugin serve my need to play with Twitter. Easy to use and didn't have any problem.

Excellent plugin, installs easily and work great.
Only one complaint, when the article is submitted and you check the Attaching URL to status option as yes, the url that is posted is a tinyurl. It would be great if it would use the real url of your website.

I'm amazed that this is the only plugin on the entire extension site with this functionality. All the other Twitter plugins are the other way around.
I'm very pleased with how the plugin works, it does exactly what it says on the tin. However it would be even better if it would post to twitter if something is published through the Content Submit component.
My site has a large user submitted section and it would be awesome if I could send out what they submit on the sites Twitter account too!

Good plugin...
BUT...
it does not work with article that have a delayed publishing date...(well, it works and send to twitter, but refering an article that is not yet published...)

This is perfect! Like an RSS for Twitter. I searched for it for a while, and did see this app listed, but passed it by because the name didn't indicate what it does. There are other apps with similar names that display recent Tweets on the Joomla site. This is very different - it publishes new articles TO Twitter.
I would suggest TwitterPoster or something like that to better indicate it's actual (and wonderful) function.
Thanks!
Scott

Its a nice plugin and the does the work which I was looking for.
But there seems to be a problem with my site. It submitted properly to Twitter by generating a TinyURL but when clicked on it, it leads to the page using the Joomla version of the link and not the SEF version of the link.
Can you help me in solving this out?
Thank you again for the plugin :)

Easy to set up, easy to use and works as advertised. This is a very handy little plug in for Twitter users. Thank you very much for sharing it with the community!

I found this little plugin to be excellent. Snap to install and easy to configure. Didn't get the plugin to function first, but instructions from the author were helpful.
Only thing I don't find so excellent, is that an article saved as unpublished, is not sent to Twitter once it's published later. Is it a feature or what?

...and that includes registering with Twitter.
I got an email asking if I could provide updates to my website via twitter. It took me half an hour in total - 20minutes working out what twitter was - to get the system working.
Can't say better than that!

Great little plug-in and works very well.
However I source alot of my content via. tools such as Feed2Post, RSS Factory Pro etc. and such articles are published automatically.
It would be great if there was an option to push these articles to twitter without manual posting.
Keep up the good work, DM.

I have to say this is an excellent plugin and one i'm going to stick with for some time.
It does everything it says on the box apart from one little problem which has been forward to the developer.
When you submit your article using the frontend editor, the twitter status plugin does generate a tinyurl on your twitter profile BUT when a follwer clicks on the tinyurl that is generated, it takes them to the login page for your website rather than the article.
I've sent the developer an email and I really do hope they get that fixed asap - as it's going to cause a few problems for people.

I created a new article, and I loved the verification message once you save it. It only took a few seconds to show up on Twitter, itself.

This is a really super plugin and works perfectly for me, but there is one problem due to the way Joomla identifies content pages.
If you have a menu link for the com_content "submit article" function and you use this link to create an article on the frontend, the URL generated for Twitter to link back to the article will point to the article creation/editing screen or rather a "you do not have acceess" page since you likely have this menu item (or the whole menu) set to allow registered or special users only.
This is with Joomla 1.5.9 and core SEF turned on via .htaccess but no suffixes added to the URLs.

Thank you so much for creating this extension.
The idea and purpose behind this extension are great. It seems with the latest version of Joomla it does not update my Twitter status. I've went to deprez website to download the extension's manual and followed the instruction to the tee. It still doesn't update Twitter status. When you have some time, please fix.
THANKS!

Does not auto-post any more after the latest Joomla update. In addition, we always needed to manually remove the PL language pack from the zipfile because it refuses to install if that does not exist in your Joomla site. Would be much better if the plugin uses the proper router code to link to the article so that (1) you get SEF URLs and (2) modules will appear on the article because the menu/category are included in the URL. This plugin links directly to the article ID instead. Please resolve your web hosting issues as this is the only plugin that has Twitter-posting capability.

One of the very few fantastic and usable extensions, just add the feature for pinging my twitter when an article gets updated (can be made optional).
