I really like this module and the way I was able to style it as a 5 day icon strip in my header.
I recently got an email from weather.com saying they were changing to a subscription for their weather feed from 15th Nov. Their free (registered) xml feed goes away, and they will offer a weather channel api instead for a subscription of $19.99/month!
I think this kills it. So I would hope this great module can be upgraded to support google weather, and also add J1.7 support.
It would be a shame to see it fade away. You did a great job Marco.

Thank you for making the weather module. works great! sometimes though it gives 'Weather Not Available Connection time-out'. is it a bug or weather xml problems? would be great to have a cache setting to make less requests to the source.
Many thanks for this module.
The module does work - but there are hurdles to jump to get it working...
You need to register with www.weather.com and then signup for an XML data feed (https://registration.weather.com/ursa/xmloap/step2?). You then get a PID and License key to get the module to work. Registering is free. (Suggest this info should be placed in the extension description above?)
Not all the options appear to work - hoping the module gets finished one day.

I think this a fantastic module, don't get me wrong. The real issue for me is the quality of the data that the module gets its feed from. It seems to not be updated very often at all, for example it says its 15 degrees here, when its really 20. - Im not sure at this point, but think the temp and forcast is update only every 12 hours???
I guess my point is, why proudly display the current temperature and forecast, when its always wrong? - I have given this a week, and the data feed from source always seems to be WAY off.
Other than that, for a free module, its quick, simple, and to the point. - I took the time to edit the weather icons from 30,000K each down to 800K because I liked this so much. (40 or more icons) - You might want to do this, as I had 3 days of forecast displaying on the site, and noticed a 100K jump in the page size!
Thanks for the work on the nice module, I will be contacting regarding utilization of a different feed soon.

Very nice and simple module
It would be perfect if we can:
1)Add multiple instances
2)Stack dates in vertical mode
3)Customize text for all units (for non-English site)
4)Select layout mode (like from Weather.com)
Keep up the good works buddy :)

With very little work in the css file I got it set up as I wanted.
It only shows the icon, day, temp and forecast information regardless of the location. I thought it was due to a lack of info from weather.com for a Canadian city but the same is true for American cities.
If there were any support for this I would like to know why.
Looks fine in IE6 too
Thanks for this

Installed the module, used Joomla's built in load plugin to display it on a content page, and it shows the icon, the the temp, and the description, but will not for the life of me show the 20 or so other settings I turned on. Wind, highs lows etc. Any ideas? No one else is complaining about this so imagine I am missing something.

Very good module to display the weather
It looks great and has a few different options
The only bad thing about it was finding the code, but after seeking support I found it

Installation and set-up was so simple. I had it working in literally a couple of minutes. I just had to figure out my city code, which I was able to figure out from Weather.com. When you look at the Weather for your city from their site, your city code is in the address bar! Don't blame the module if Weather.com's data is not accurate!!! And if your module position requires customization, I don't see how we can blame the module for that either. It looks like I might need to do a little customization to mine to get the extra data (dewpoint, sunrise, etc.)to display correctly, but that is to be expected, I would think. This is a free module!!! 5 stars from me!
This weather module breaks my heart. On the one hand, its design is exactly what I want and it works perfectly. On the other hand, the weather data from weather.com is always totally inaccurate for Australian locations. And for my website, I need 'spot on' forecast info. Over a period of several weeks, I have noted that weather.com's data bears little or no resemblance to data from the Australian weather bureau. It's a shame the data is so poor, because the module itself is great. :(
