This has saved me a lot of hassle with a current website. It took a while to find an extension that did what I want - this one does.
I guess the only thing extra I would like it to do would be to have one long user-orderable list of every article in a section without them listed in their categories. However, this is not a gripe by any means, just a "would like to see" for further versions! Full marks from me - thanks!

Easy to install, and does the job nicely.
My only gripe is concerning the short intro text. I hoped to be able to show the first n words of an article in the collapsible div, but there was no support for that. Either the full article, a short description, or no description (no short description available).
But it turned out to be easy enough to code this, so it now works as I want it to.
Now I just want to use SectionEx to display Weblink categories under the article categories. This might not be so easy...

I have been looking for something like this for like 6 weeks. Thank you so much! Works great. I needed to diplay articles with descriptions and other info somewhere besides the front page. This totally worked for me. I have yet to have any issues. Thanks again!

I found SectionEx extremely useful. It works well, but unfortunately produces lots of validation errors. I wish this would be amended, because it really fills a large gap.
Thanks and keep up the good work!

At last! I have been trying to achieve this kind of structure for ages. I wanted to create a sensible FAQ list and couldn't understand why it wasn't possible. SectionEx works right out of the box, does exactly what it says it will. Thank you!

I tried running this with sh404sef, and I had major trouble getting the links to work. After countless hours, I finally pieced together a solution. First, follow the steps on their forum to get the main SectionEx display to work: http://forum.azrul.com/index.php/topic,3410.msg17515.html#msg17515
Next, make sure you select "Frontpage like article links" under the Parameters - Basic > Menu & Pathway Behavior. What I found was if I didn't change this, the component was generating links to the pages with Itemid's that were 1 too small. For example, a link that should have been
index.php?option=com_sectionex&Itemid=84&catid=19&id=76&lang=en&view=article
was instead generated as
index.php?option=com_sectionex&Itemid=83&catid=19&id=76&lang=en&view=article
This could probably be fixed by editing the code further, but switching to "Frontpage like article links" did the trick for me. I really love the look and feel of this extension! Great job!!!

I've spent most of this week trying to find a way to make Joomla do what this does after a client decided they wanted to have their clients in different categories in the 'cleints' section but still display their news as if it was just a single category list!
So yep cannot fault the component, it does what it says it does.

It's just perfect! I would love to have this component render categories as well, but aside that, is just great!

After searching for a solution for 2 days it was so good to finally get one that works from the box. Install, customize and enjoy the results. This one is tops!
Well done Robert and your team.

Thats a very good component, but is not SEO Friendly, a plugin for sh404 will be great

Very nice, clean and easy to config component. I just like to request a feature: add management links like Edit, Publish/Unpublish and Delete for privileged users. That would make SectionEx an excellent yet simple for front-end content management.

I needed a way to list all the FAQs on one page (thought still in their own categories). SectionEX did it. Quick install, configured a couple of parameters. Done.
NICE!
Thanks!

it good solution for my requirement

This component does exactly what it says. Its simple in its implementation and effective in its output. The only change I would make is to find a better way of displaying the sections, instead of a drop down box (which in my opinion tends to hide the other sections from view) a simple list of available sections would in my opinion be more effective. Easily fixed for those who know how to code. In closing... Simply a Brilliant Component!

Was struggling with the Joomla layout which was not working for me. This is much much nicer. Only thing I encountered was that when I turned on linkable title and when I click on the link it brings me to the Joomla layout again. Perhaps I need to play with it a bit further...

Very good component. Might not display all the articles in your categories (particularly if you are using the Subcategories Patch) but it appears easy to fix.
1 - Make certain all your Joomla categories have a proper SORT order (no Zeros in the Order column).
2 - In the component, under Category Order AND Article Order, pick something BESIDES "Default". Once I set the order to "Alphabetical", all my articles displayed properly.

This component is exactly what I was looking for. When dealing with things like multi-category FAQs this is a beautiful presentation format. It integrated perfectly with my template and operates exactly as advertised.
Thank you!

Thanks to SectionEx developers and reviewers - this component adds fantastic functionality to the listing of articles within categoris and sections.

First of all: this component ROCKS! It offers a huge amount of justifications and you WILL find the one that fits your needs!
If you don't use translations on your site, see my rating as a five-star. But if you're using Joomfish, you will be disappointed, as the translated topics don't show up, but just the ones in the original language of your site. It's a pitty, because this component is simple and beautiful!

This module is EXACTLY what we were looking for.. something to show not only the Categories, but also the Articles listed within them, in a clean, easy fashion. This module does that.
Thanks again,
