I have spend 2 months trying to get something to work. None of the other free products wanted to show the video. This is the first extension that does and it is easy to understand.

Not only works perfectly, but five stars to Marco and his quick support ! Bravissimo !
Greetings from Italy
bye_builds on February 19, 2009
I would rate this 5 stars if not that:

- mp4's are default played by quicktime (though this can be altered by template)
- mp4's played by the embedded flvmediaplayer are not streamed, but downloaded and then played. This is a major problem since flv is shortcoming as container for the latest H.264 codec standard. (Check Adobe site for this)

I'm using a 1.0 template in 1.5 for a client obviously running in legacy. I tried two other plugins to play youtube videos and neither would work in this scenario. MgMedia worked perfectly with no trouble. It is more complex than the simpler plugins but there was no configuration to do. And it is very powerful in the media types and methods that it can do.

I would suggest simpler documentation for playing youtube as that is probably the majority of it's use. It will be or is intimidating to the newbie without this. Other than that a Fine piece of work! ich gratuliere! I hope that is right.

This an allround quality extension :)
I fiddled around with AllMedia and AllMedia Reloaded. MgMedia2 was the only one with easy to follow install documentation and that worked first time around. Highly reccomended!

I have searched high and low and tried out so many plugins that claimed to be compatible with Joomla 1.5. They all failed to do so. This plugin is extremly easy to use and supports multiple format. Could not ask for more. Thank you!

This is what i looking for, i think that no other thing is better, for me, this is the best component that i found
byjptsetme on January 22, 2008
This module was extremely simple to set up. I had to make a small template modification to get it to do what I wanted. I added m4v as one of the supported filetypes in the quicktime template, and now I can embed m4v (H.264) videos [hidef from our camcorder] right in our joomla site.

I can't comment on the support, because I didn't need any. The doc was enough to guide me in making the template mod. [That's a good thing.]

A+.

There is so much hype about Allvideos plugin. I used it and I liked it, but guess what? This does more than I had in mind. A+. Good bye Allvideos plugin :(
bythepisu on December 25, 2007
This plugin is very good not only for videos, but also as MP3 player. It seems to be better that AllVideos, because of the optional parameters that can be passed in content calls!

this is a great component/plugin to broadcasting flv videos throught your joomla site.
easy to use, easy to configure and it seems like easy to install, if you see the readme. it works only when you install the component and the mambot too!

thanks
byvideohead on October 4, 2007
After trying a few, this is the easiest and most well orchestrated media component I have found.
Whether you need popup or embedded content in your Joomla site, this seems to work with all flavors of web media and has good support available on their website.
bybluecafe on June 26, 2007
Impressive in every way! Thanks for this great component.
The support site is very helpful to learn about the basics and how to start. I had to look into it a bit but then it is really easy to understand.

Still haven't discovered all features yet .. :)

I am still a noob, and finally figured out what I was doing wrong (had to uninstall/reinstall Firefox so MgMediaBot vids would show up on it.. sorry for the email asking for help) I still did find the way to have youtube etc. show up a little complicated, but that's just me :) great work!
This is a very handy bot, I needed to be able to show home video on my family website, and using this in conjection with alpha content for genres it worked out perfectly, thanks so much for making it!
This is very simple, easy to install, and works great. It also has several configuration options that it's competitors don't have, like the ability to have a "lightbox" which shows sample images from the different video clips you offer.

I had a few configuration challenges with my particular implementation, and the author was incredibly helpful getting my issues resolved. He even created a quick patch to make it work successfully for my needs.

I recommend this highly, not only because it's simple and works well, but because the author cares enough to help when he doesn't have to. Bravo!!

If you are looking to simply add some videos and animations on your website including Flash video? Want to Create pop-ups with image icons to click on? Want actually videos being handled just like images: Simply uploading them and adding a line of code to contents? And of course without fiddling around with complicated installation procedures? Just go ahead and install the two packages of MgMediaBot! You will most likely be as happy as I am now.
