However, I miss a Slovenian language pack. I'd love to translate the extension into my language if I knew how and where. I'd appreciate any directions on that. Thanking you in advance!
It could have been better though. For example if there could be a way to save a template for the Newsletter and get e-mail every time someone subscribes or unsubscribes or even send automatically an article of a category is updated!
Hope any soon those few things will be added to make this component perfect.
The first big minus is I can't find any way to get notifications when someone signs up for the newsletter. This should come with every single newsletter application out there and I'm shocked to see that only a few joomla newsletter extensions have it.
The second big minus is the style. My template has div layers and parts of the layout of Communicator actually pops out of my layout. As far as on an admin's end, Communicator is really annoying to work with.
The only perks this gets from me is that it actually does compose nice newsletters if you put in the time. The newsletters are surprisingly easy to customise considering how difficult the extension itself is to customise.
Obviously, I am doing something wrong. But it shouldn't be so hard to do something right and get it the way you want with an extension that has this many good reviews.
Ok, don't be put off that there is no DEMO or apparent documentation, you don't need any. Literally install the 3 zips and your away! This is the best free MAILING LIST extension I have found so far all the others have some sort of commercial alternative and limited free features! This one has pretty much all you will need.
Great Extension, full credit to the developer! 5 Stars from me.
It's easy to include articles from the site or create a custom newsletter.
I have been looking for a solution like this for a while. Thank you so much for such a great work.

Enjoy!
Thanks for the contribution. It will become part of the next version.

Not having used a newsletter option before, I was put off by the lack of documentation & demo (or screen shots), the download section was confusing and there was no way to pass word onto the developer - even their unhelpful remarks in the forum was a put off.
It was only after reading the reviews here and after trial and error that I found the correct file (module at the end of the download page) to install and configure it. By this time, the enclosed instruction had become superfluous.
The developers have certainly invested their time into making an excellent newsletter system but in return, they should not have to ask users to invest their time into guessing whether this extension might work for them.
The functionality of the module seems to be quite well & easy: so an "Excellent" for it.
The layout is not convincing: so an "Fair" for it.
"Name" is sitting beneath the button, and the text belonging to the entry fields is standing far to much above the fields itself.
Most often IT people are no specialists in graphic design nor in questions of userfriendliness. So, my advice: Sit together with some graphic & design & userfriendliness folks, and everything will be fine.
You can use this and I will tell you that I also write modules for joomla, this one impresses me!!
Many Thanks for the GREAT work!
