This is why when i installed this component i was very happy than i don't need to hardcode credits anymore.
I gave it some modding. I did an italian translation if anyone needs it and i introduced another column "license" that shows the tag from the xml file, links it to GPL o GPLv2 or if it has in xml than links it to that. That's all.
Drop me a line if you want this mod.

But all in all J!Credits is a component I can recommend it all users of Joomla. And the best of all is that it's free :-)
best regards Daniel Janesch
Thanks Daniel. I was aware of the xml file issue but hadn't taken the time to fix it yet. I will review your files and should have a corrected version posted soon.
In addition, as you have asked in your email, a native version is in the works. Originally planned as a complete re-work, the native version will be completed first with the re-worked version to be completed next.
A snap to install (remember to turn on Legacy Mode for 1.5.x), configure and produces a fantastic page; exactly what I needed to replace a whole lot on manual work on my 'Credits' page. Can't wait for the 1.5 native!
This component should be on everyone's site to give credit to all the coders who work so hard to provide enhancements to our Joomla sites. Thanks for a great component!!
Good work.
New users could use a bit of "How-to" information upon install. For example, how to integrate this into an existing "About" page.
Nonetheless, this should be built into Joomla! as it helps promote the entire programming community.
Well done!

First of all, thank you very much. I would be remiss if I didn't pass some of the credit along to the original developers at The Joomling Club.
I agree with you that a how-to should be available and that the intro text should be editable without going into the php file. I intend to make that a part of the next full version which will also be 1.5 native.
How to integrate into another page is something I hadn't considered. That would likely require a module instead of a full component. I will take this into advisement as a feature request.
Thanks again!
Jeff
