All this module is, is a iFrame of Google GMail login. At best , it's somewhat suspicious to be logging in to Gmail from an iFrame. It's probably a good module for anyone promoting a Gmail related services.

The module uses Google website integration technology aka Google Gadgets. The original XML file is written by a 3rd party. I've checked the XML code myself without finding anything suspicious.
It uses an iFrame because of the fact that it's using Google's AJAX technology. It's like calling (and using) a Windows dll file in Linux.
Of course, I use the module at my own risk, but so far so good.
