1) Show DAILY OR RANDOM quotes (mod_rquotes-v1.5rc4 required).
2) FRONT END ability.Now able to display information as content.
3) Create,edit and delete categories and view sorted data in back end.
New Version 1.5.1 corrects a table creation error that prevented quotes from displaying at times.
This is a General Component and Module to store Random information (Quotes,Jokes,Riddles,etc.) to a database table with the ability to use unlimited individual categories.Please download the component and matching module to display almost any random or daily content on your site. The component is available in English, (Chinese and Netherlands language need minor updating .)

If you want to either have a random quote or a content page of quotes, then this is the extension for you! Just be sure to also download the module if you want just a quote to display on a page rather than have it link to a quote page. This extension can be used for almost any random or daily content, which proves valuable for search engine rankings. I've tried several extensions for this purpose. Most didn't work at all or wouldn't install. This one not only worked, but exceeded my expectations. Thanks a bunch!!

This One Is Fantastic Module It Has Removed Previous Flaws Of Adding Quotes Seprately. It Reduces Both Effort And Time.

This looks like a great module, and I was partly lured into getting it by the previous poster mentioning it worked great with Joomfish.
Initially, I couldn't get it to work in Joomfish - but then I re-read the post and worked out that I needed to get the XML file available from the download page and included that, and now, it's working perfectly.

This is the perfect solution for a random daily quote, which changes on page change/refresh.

I use Rquotes to rotating information - it works great and with the xml files for Joomfish I can translate it into any language.
The modules is getting more sophisticated and now that upgrade of the component does not result in lost of the database tables it is great.
I have not found problems with IE - just checked in IE8 and it looks ok

This would have been the perfect component/module but for the fact that it completely gutted the layout of the site I was working on when viewed with IE7. Perfectly fine in Firefox. Is a real shame because I would have like to use it.

Excellent little mod to add some extras to your site for fun, and perfect for testimonials! I agree with the review below - would be even better if ability to list quotes all on one page too!

This tool has allowed me to list custom random inspiration quotes AND client testimonials...just one request -- find a way to LIST 1-10 or ALL testimonials on one page as content.

This is a simple and affective extension for adding random content.
Each module implementation randomly displays one category. Component manages 4 categories. Each dynamic entry has two, front-end, fields and a notes field visible in the back-end.

This is a very good one, but it needs some features like daily or random and instead of limiting the categories it could have the function to add/edit/delete sections instead of "preseting" them

if you looking for a good 1.5 native quote system... oh yeh then is this the one you looking for! At least on this moment lah... Installed it in a few clicks and running on a live site within a few minuts...

It was exactly what I was looking for, a damn great module. Installed in less than 4 clicks, and online in seconds.
I want to suggest a feature to add: the possibility to choose "when" change the quote, if at every page load or (for example) every day, or every week. In this manner we could create a "quote of the day" or a "quote of the month".
It would be great also to have different categories.

This is a good component for Joomla! 1.5.x to show random quotes. It is very easy to use. So I made a Chinese language translation for it since the new version has the multi-lingual interface support.
If the author can add a new feature to allow user creating or editing categories, it will be better.

This component works great, but there are still some minor things to add:
1. number of quote in administrator's view.
2. add css for module to make individual styling possible.
Otherwise, this is the best native quote component for joomla 1.5, in my opinion
