I purchased this extension for a client of mine and it doesn't want to install correctly and I'm sick of fixing everyone else's code. (seems to be a running theme for Joomla extension developers). Also, their documentation link that comes with the app is broken.

I especially love how the support forum's answers are "read the rules," laughable. Get a clue and look at how some other extension developers use their forums. I've seen better responses on forums at crappy half baked extensions. One forum post I saw the user was told to read the rules. They reposted their information "according to the rules" and then the post died. If you privately answered this person's question you may want to consider posting the answer on the forum for other users... just a crazy thought I know.

This product was everything at commercial product should be. It was easy to setup, easy to modify colors, and it works great. I set the background color to "transparent" and my RocketThemed template shines through. I'm a happy customer!

You can see from the owner's response that customers issue, that indeed the support not only lacks but is often unprofessional. The help forums are littered with problems with set up and 90% of the responses are "Read The Forums".

This player is not exactly user friendly and is a waste of money compared to similar programs.

The installation guide not only lacks detail but since there are loads of questions about similar issues on install that it would make sense the owners would rewrite the guide to include the common problems since they do not have the motivation to answer people's questions professionally.

I was a Subscribing Member to YouJoomla and I must say that I rather enjoy their templates and distribution of Modules and Components. The thing I think I like most is they generally offer atleast some version of the Extensions for FREE or completely FREE! And when I was a subscribing member they usually released a new Template every 2 - 3 weeks unlike RT and YT and TP who release every 4 weeks. I think my subscription was for 6 months and I was able to get maybe 9 or 10 NEW templates. Pretty good deal and support was phenominal.

As for YT_MovieStudio I have used it on atleast 5 production sites and find it to be very handy and my clients absolutely love it. 1. Its styled EXTREMELY nice and 2. Its user interface is phenominal.

All I can say is Keep Up The Good Work YJ!!!!

When I first purchased this YJ Movie Studio, I thought it was the answer to all of my video needs. It's easy to install, use and modify and has a half way decent interface. I THOUGHT I had saved many hours of work and was singing until I found you could not use more than one instance of the module within a site.

In my opinion, unless you are only going to show videos on one page of your site, this product is pretty much useless. I'm giving it an average rating, because it might work very well for a few people with simple needs, but as for a commercial extension...I'd have to say it just isn't ready for that quite yet. Maybe when they get it to work on multiple pages, I'd be more inclined to give it a more positive review.

In addition, I'd like to point out...support with my problem was slow, short and somewhat rude.
