Installed on a base Joomla 1.5.15 system and wasn't able to get to the component due to an error "Fatal error: Call to a member function getCategoryTree() on a non-object in .../administrator/components/com_wbgallery/includes/image.php on line 66." Didn't go any further as the component didn't work out of the box. I downloaded and installed com_wbgallery.v101.zip.
I had previously have used different galleries, but none of them did all that I required. To get the functionality I required I had several installed. A friend recommended datso gallery, I was impressed with the photo scroller, but the gallery wouldn't work properly on my safe-mode website after going to various forums gave up on datso and then found webBudda it is excellent and works in safemode. Woo hoo. I ended up hacking the datso scroller module to work with webbuddha so i got the best of both worlds.
Your script is very good, its fast and does the job with a hitch, install its hassle free, I believe this component has huge potential to grow with more addons like featured image modules or scrolling image modules something like that, it gets my vote on Joomla as the best Gallery Component I've ever tried.
Would be nice to see it evolve from Legacy state to Native Joomla.
Well done keep up the good work..

I use this for a client's online portfolio and it works well and is very user-friendly.
However, we had an issue with the Photographer's name not displaying (which was vital). Although we got around it, support seemed to give up on me, which was a bit disappointing.
If you want a basic user-friendly, no-frills image gallery component, I'd say use this, if you want something more involved then look on.

This gallery package is definitely worth a try!
The developer is currently very keen on making this a top image gallery solution for joomla. We think he's on the right track. The wbGallery search bot integrates well with the site search making it possible to search/find images based on any keyword included in the image's description. With unlimited categories/sub categories and easy backend admin.; this wbGallery is simple to use, but has some slick features you'll find in more complex gallery solutions. looking forward to v. 1.0.3

I've been searching around for a gallery com that my technically challenged clients could use to manage their weekly photo upload needs... this installed fast and was easy to understand and teach! Love the .zip/gzip upload and the auto thumbnail creation.
