Same problem about the Close button. And css compatibility, only Safari and Chrome, for IE and Firefox the margin-top text is not working.

Hi,
after having some need for modification (i only changed the language of 'close'), there occured strange misbehaviour. After going into the code what i saw was unbelievable for a template-club. but i think it reflects there actual skills of staff perfectly.
This module is so poorly coded and the staff from Templateplaza are not capable to fix that easy things. You have to change in code some wrong placed strings and modif the recall of the parameters taken for Javascript. Do yourself a favour and dont even look at their templates. Regards
I give 2 stars instead of 1 because i think the initial developer (who for sure already left since long time) had some good things in mind for this module.

This is a good module. But like the others said, many bugs and needs more options. The most problematic is if you change the button name 'close'. then it does not work properly.
Thanks anyway. I appreciate it.

Same review as Gabbesz, a good idea but very poor implementation...a lot of errors and bad codding.
excellent extension.. looks sleek, works brilliantly!
only thing is, i'm abit confused about how to use the cookies. other than that, it's great and i'd definitely recommend it :)

Works great for my site. Perfect tool to display an alert of welcome note.

This popup tool would have been very helpful but it contains so many errors that makes it useless.
1) It should be placed into a module (which is used by the current template) and even if you switch off displaying the title certain elements are displayed for that module (surrounding boxes etc.).
2) In the title the 'moopopup' text appears with an icon - it should be an option to remove it on the admin page
3) If you choose to switch off the Draggable Box option the cursor remains the same and the contents of the box will be selectable. Very strange and unexpected behavior.
4) If you rename the Button Title from 'close' to anything else the contents will be displayed as a normal module. This is a coding error, it is easy to fix (if you are familiar with php and js), hard to find.
5) Instead of having 6 predefined css styles it would been helpful to provide options for title color, background color etc.
6) No positioning is available - the box is placed on the middle of the screen.
7) Why do one need the ad of your fancy (at least for you :) ) in his html code? Remove the ad now!

The best "pure" popup extension, even if customization is poor.

Thanks, a great module to inform visitors about something. I have used on both 1.0 and 1.5 Joomla installs and it works the same thanks. Remember to use the correct module version for your Joomla install (1.0 or 1.5).
The cookie option is great too so that people who browse through your website don't see it again for 3600 seconds (1 hour). This can be increased if you want it displaying more often or less often. Or turn it off so it always displays on your selected menu items.

The install was simple and minor changes were easy to accomplish. However, anything advanced seems like it breaks the module.

It's easy to style, change the size, input HTML contents, etc. The transparency is nice and with a minor change to the .js you can control the opacity and more. There are several template/color schemes to choose from.
If there was a way to embed modules or articles, or process plugins in the text area, that would make this an excellent module.
Nice work.
