i've been using this plugin for both versions of joomla and it works awesome when it comes to prevent ilegal access to the admin console
i seriously encourage anyone to install it to keep your site in the safe zone since there is a bunch of Brazilian hackers out there messing around with joomla based sites

Very good and innovative feature. Should be included in joomla as a package. Works wonders. Only just need to remember that key. Else.. scrap and re-install.. hohoho. Need good memory!

Just what the doctor ordered. A very effective way of shutting yet another 'hack attempt' door!
Installed in very quickly, configured just as easily. Less than five minutes of my time and I was able to see that it works exactly as described.

A very simple way to increase your website's security.
I hope they make a the readme file more noticeable by renaming it something like 'README FIRST!!!' And also the documentation link should link to the readme file instead of the download page. It would save lots of trouble for newbie users

This is a must have plug-in for all Joomla! sites. Put simply, it hides your admin login page from unauthorized viewers.

Great contribution to the security of you website. When people go to {site}/adMINIstraTOr they still go the the backend without using jSecure. Therefore you can add the i character to jsecure.php in the preg_match in line 33.
Now the preg_match is:
"administrator\/*index.?\.php$/"
Change it to:
"administrator\/*index.?\.php$/i"
Right now, it is a case-insensitive match.

Thanks for your feedback, we have fixed the plugin and released new version 1.0.8.
I don't really have a lot to say about this, other than it being simply perfect. The documentation had one vague part but other than that it was truly perfect. Fantastic.

This worked fine for me (Joomla 1.5.10, jSecure 1.0.7). If you are using Virtuemart pay attention to let Virtuemart's site url be the same of your Joomla configuration, otherwise won't be able to use Virtuemart's backend. I'm reviewing it just as good because of the lack of support. By the way, this issue with Virtuemart was left unanswered for more than 6 months. I've tryed to log into the forum to post this, but I could not register (internal server error).

This program works perfectly if you write the link as follows:

At first I was using an older version of Jsecure plug and it worked as a charm... BUT when I upgraded to J!1.5.10 it just don't work anymore.
Even worst if you try to unistall it will be working after that. Now I have lots of problems: I'm constantly redirected to the login page even when I succesfully login, the secure key works after unistall, Ex. www.mydomain.com/admin/KEY.
I have tried to get some answers from the developer's forum BUT with no anwers, it seem to be a abandoned.
I'm not recomending this plug: no support and it generates lots of problems. :(
