Instead of using using tp=1 for template layout to check where your modules are, you can do it more effectively from backend with JPosition.
It comes handy when you switching template to another one and suddenly realize that your fancy menu just disappear, caused by different layout. Don`t panic, use JPosition to locate a "lost" modules and bring them back to new template positions.
Update:
There is a more advanced version of the component, check our site for J!Position v2.0 demo in free download area. This free version includes advanced options available in J!Position Pro. It is also gives you opportunity to sneak for more advanced options, like drag-and-drop, with latest commercial J!Position 2.

What a fantastic - must be added to core - extension. Happy to find it and even happier after easy install and as advertised operations. Thanks!

Downloaded the free version, gave it a whirl, and ended up buying the JPosition2 version. The drag-and-drop feature is worth every penny!
Works as advertised! (And the support is good too!)
Five Stars, Style13!!!

Verry neat and useful component. No way to describe it except a must have !!!!!!!!!!!!
Good, my only negatives are that when i click something on the left (to see what mods are active there) i can not edit the mods until i click 'view all' again. And that after editing mods i then have to go through the menu again to view the Component again.

I didn't understand the description, so I tried it out.
And now I am pretty sure, that it is going to stay. I migth even consider bying the PRO version.

This is really useful. I wasn't super clear on what it did until I tried it. After, I realized it is something I need on all my websites past, present and future.
Amazing idea, flawless implementation. Great work.

Thank you for your feedback. We should change a description to something more "clear" as you sad above.

As per the two previous ratings/reviews this really is one of those WOW! components - excellent idea and maybe something for the Joomla Dev's to consider as a standard component for future Joomla releases.
Not only are the module positions clearly laid out with a list of the modules assigned to each, it also shows the deactivated modules. This will be an often used tool for my sites.
The only drawback, for me, is the "Unused" tab. Not sure what that's showing as I have more unused modules and positions than are showing on this tab.
Thank you Style 13!!

You absolutely right. Unused tab displays modules that are not linked to ANY page on a site. That`s why we call it "unused".

I installed this and gave an audible Wow when seeing what it does. Thank you so much for developing this component! It is an exceptional tool. Handy for finding any part of your site in a flash. This is an instant classic like xplorer or masscontent. I can see this being the main navigation for my back-end admim. In fact, how can I make it default to this as the main admin screen?
Kudos!!!!!!!!!
