I wanted to say thank you for this brilliant idea
I am thinking really for purchasing this software in spite the free version suites me just to support you
Thanks again
I wanna add something in the article editor there is no option to edit the page or paragraph direction
I appreciate your work
This .net application in C# and plugin is a fantastic tool. It looks easy enough to use to edit pages and add pages. Obviously managing modules and so forth is something else entirely and would require a lot more development.
My concerns however are only a couple and perhaps minor.
When everything syncs it does take a while and this is true if you only changed the authors alias.
The extensions > Plugin , Modules within the editor are a little unclear. At first I thought these were for the site when it then appeared to be for the editor itself. Maybe this could be labelled more clearly?

My Biggest concern though is that the application contacts a (or perhaps a couple) of sites constantly other than my own. The one ip that kept jumping up was 208.69.34.230 on port 80. Within a 5 minute period it had already pipped 20mb of data to this IP. Now the IP traces back to google and I didnt wait round for any others to appear. But my question is why ? I can understand connecting to the authors site to register a product and to download updates (when I choose to) but why a constant connection elsewhere?
What makes it a little more unnerving is that no firewall can block this action. Using Eset and being a verified partner in supplying and training eset I know how to blocka dn unblock items, but somehow Joomla Remote was able to bypass the firewall and carry right on.

Perhaps this may be nothing at all, but as someone who deals with network and computer security on top of many other things it is something I question as the security of my site is very important to me and any possibility at there being a leak or an interception of data traffic which could compromise the security of my site is something I would frown upon.

This plugin and application still get a high rating from me however due to what it is capable of. I ust hope that the developers are able to cease communications with other sites and IP's other than the users own website for not only peace of mind but also security reasons.

Wooooooooow, it is perfect tool that i have look for too many years. The software interface is amazing. Web site and support is very good. Perfect tool.

It can save too many time. Thank you very much.
Do you use Microsoft C#?

When i install it need to .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. I download it separate and all things work OK.

So please develop more..

This tool is a real time and life saver!
Thank you guys for this.
I had some trouble to make communicate with my site, but as soon as I figured out that my firewall was silently blocking it, it worked as a charm!

Great application, but for some reason I am not able to install onto XP. Works fine with Vista. I am using version 1.0.2.4, seems to install ok, I have installed .NET framework 2 SP2 / framework 3 SP2 / framework 3.5 SP1. Joomla Remote seems to install, but when I try to open it I get an error message saying it needs to close. I have uninstalled all .NET frameworks & Joomla Remote & installed all again - but no luck.

Anyone else had the same problem? Would really like to get this working on my XP machine as it looks like a good programme to have.

thanks

Where to start? Even for an initial release, this is a very polished and professional full-fledged desktop application, make no mistake about it! You wanted a one-click sync? You got it! I have only just today installed it and I still can't get over how the developers managed to pull this off. It can only get better! Watch the video on their site to see what you get with the Pro version ... full Admin Access! Kudos to the dev team!

thanks to developer.

I installed this extension 5 days ago and have used it for 4 days already!

This really speeds up the content creation process in Joomla. Sections, categories and articles are created from one screen, one area and the drag-and-drop menu creation for the articles are amazing!! I just create a new menu in Joomla then I let Joomla Remote handle the rest.

Great work...please keep going with this one!

Some observations (may clearly come out in later versions);

1. Menu manager
2. Better html editor, maybe capability of using JCE

Great job. Free Version had only one site. It does lay out all the menus and article nicely. I liked it and bought the premium version. Price is reasonable. Good Job

in its initial 1st release it is a good tool and plugin. I am able to edit my content items offline and synchronize once I am back online. The developer says that he plans to add other components in future releases. If that happens this would become a must have for Joomla! site admins.

i've installed the free version, and i am impresssed!

i have a client that seriously lacks up-to-date bandwidth.

the ability to build/edit articles on their own desktop will make for a excellent solution.
bystig_n on November 9, 2008
It is a good extension but if you dont check synchronise at startup you will get an error, at least did I get it and the application failed to start.

Later on I also get an error during the synchronization. For now I cant use it unless I reinstall.

Good try anyway and Im sure the next release will be great.
Owner's reply

We've resolved this bug in the new Version 1.0.1 Auto Update. Use Joomla Remote Updater in your Windows Start Menu to upgrade.

First Thoughts... Incredible!

This will save massive amounts of time creating/editing content and can be done anywhere you can take a laptop. You later synchronize when connected to the internet, similar to Dreamweaver.

I'm sure there will be issues/limitations as with all new releases but the quality has quite frankly blown me away. This is a professional tool, a real pleasure to use. I can't wait to see where it develops.

Respect to the development team...
