Joomulus

- This extension requires registration to download.
At the Advanced Parameters you manually enter your desired Tag, Link and Font Size
The module creates a tag cloud in flash - and also a search engine friendly tag cloud that Google and other engines can index - the SEO tag cloud only shows to your users if they do not have flash installed.
New version of Joomulus released 12 May 2009, fixes previous issues with IE6 and provides a simpler, yet very powerful workflow.
Greek characters are now enabled in the tag cloud.
Joomulus is based on Roy Tanck's wp-cumulus http://www.roytanck.com a wonderful Wordpress 3D flash tag cloud plug-in.
Even If you disable the swf object and use it without flash module won't validate on web standards. There is no support and module is abandoned. Don't waste your time with this module as I did.
Great point you bring up manuxx2 about non standards compliance. Did you use your clever firefox developers tool bar validation to figure that one out?
Here's an idea! Why don't you do as much research into web standards compliance and embedding flash movies as I have? Go read up on alistapart.com they seem to be the authority on the subject. Then you may realise the W3C work on developing standards that Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and the publishers of Flash, which would be Adobe, don't strictly adhere to. For clear reasons, Flash movies (also called swf's) are not apart of the W3C standards. While it is possible to embed swf's with HTML that validates, the result wont be cross browser compatible. Please advise which is more important?
BUT: why have you changed(?) files on your site? (oldest versions?).
Installing your site's file, only have manual tags, not articles tags.
Found 2 other versions on the web: one working well (ver 1.0.8.1) but not flash cloud (good for SEO but not so nice to see), and another one ok with flash (1.7.0.9fr on sqysoft.com), but without control (except hacking code) on tags size.
I think you should review your site's files, and give access to newest versions, even if you don't support it for any reason that sure I can understand... I've lost hours to have it working and to understand why people has it with automatics tags and not I.
Well, thanks anyway.
Regards.
But, don't use this for big websites. You need to create your own tags and that means it is not flexible.
So for me this is a great module because I was also looking for a tag-cloud who wasn't sending me to the search page but instead directly to a certain predefined page. It takes some more time to get those tags, but I'm happy with that.
I think this tag-cloud has a big potential to become a even better module if it would be more flexible and thus interesting for bigger sites (why I am not using this one on big sites)
I like being able to manually enter and configure everything: Tags, Control the links and control the size and colour of the fonts and the size of the overall box itself.
