It's works OK, but don't rewrite SQL tables if it's already exists. Better then Akeeba which don't work with SQL if it's have not standart port.

This is amazing! Such an easy way to backup/migrate/move my Joomla! site for testing, upgrading, relocating. I hit a few snags due to server oddities, but the forums answered my questions easily. Am amazed to have moved my entire site -- fully intact -- to a new server with all links & images and everything fully functional.

Works as advertised! No glitches, all was very clear and I can't stress how much it impressed me. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.... JOE

I used this component to move a development Joomla web site to its production location (on a different web host) and it worked great! My only issue was having to manually update the configuration.php file with the correct production URL (it used the server's host name instead) but besides that, it cut my migration time in half. Fantastic time saver!

I loved Akeeba and it saved my life many times but Xcloner sounds esyer, more detailed and stable.

I have used Akeeba with great success in the past and it is not my intent to slam a good product. I've just been struggling without resolve for a week getting it installed on a new site. XCloner installed quickly and was running my backup in 5 minutes. Thank you for a great alternative.

I switched from Akeeba to XCloner after problems with Akeeba. The switch didn't happen without first trying to correct the problems I had with Akeeba. After routing out info from the Akeeba forums and testing various solutions I an glad to say I found XCloner.

I haven't done a full evaluation of the extension yet but the feature I have used are solid, easy to use and remarkable slick.

Installing was simple and even with a low maximum upload limit to my server XCloner installed without having to unpack it fully and FTP it to the tmp directory before installing, it just installed straight from the archive file.

After Xclone was installed on the Virtual Shared Server it worked right out of the box without having to workout any configuration conflicts.

Personally, after using Akeeba for a year on various other installtions, I think its become to complicated, takes to long to back your site up and has become to clever for its own good.

XCloner feels smooth simple and does a great job of backing up your Joomla. I've not tried using a backup to reinstall a Joomla yet but after using XCloner for a month or two I have confidence that the easy slick functionality will continue once I get the opportunity to use it to install from backup files.

In terms of Pros, its solid, easy to use etc as I have said. I haven't found any Cons yet.

The performance of XCloner is supa, really quick to back up vast databases and large collections of files.

Not tested out how the level of support compares to other backup extensions. I'm hoping never have to find this out.

My level of experience with Joomla and web technologies extense to 15 years with web tech and 6 years with Joomla.

XCloner, absolutely solid extension.

Excellent tool. Can be setup for simple manual backups as well as automatic cron jobs moving backups to a remote FTP site.

Fits my needs. Simple. Easy to setup. Easy to control.

Just installed and used this extension for the first time. Amazing. Install worked perfect. Interface is clean and easy to use, but offers a comprehensive view of the config and options. Use is simple, complete and just plain works.

Xcloner-Backup and restore does exactly what it says, without errors. I downloaded it, installed it and within about 3 minutes I had an entire backup of my website. The console is very neatly displayed and it shows just the right amount of technical information needed to understand its processes. Apparently, someone really thought this through. I recommend this particular extension as a staple item for any Joomla site webmaster!

Perfect, Awesome, Working, a dream come true, no problems! Realy no words to say absolutly perfect work. First time i write an review and extra registered on extensions.joomla.org! The best bachup, restore and clone component ever! only dont work with Xampp 1.7.4, but its not the components problem, problem ist because of Xampp and Joomla! Ohhh I love this component and would also kiss the programmers feet for this!!!

I'm a volunteer for a community service organization. I don't have a lot of web development experience. In fact, I screw things up more often than not. That's why I use XCloner. What a life-saver. I first used it to clone my development site into production. Now I use it to backup and restore my development site. Who wants to take a chance learning how to install and use a new module on a production site? Eek. I'll never do that again.

Xcloner was a little intimidating at the start, because I didn't have a frame of reference and didn't know what a lot of the jargon meant. Heck, I'd never really even messed with the Cpanel before. But Ovidiu was very helpful and patient with me. Now that I get it, it's just a snap. Scheduled automatic backups and the restore is a snap. Some of my volunteer peers in other states have been so impressed with my site's design that they want to copy it. With XCloner I can get them the structure they need and they can fill in the content. Cloning my site took all of 15 minutes. Thanks for a near perfect extension.

Hi i have been trying others recently, but I have noticed that XCloner has IT ALL! There is a version for Joomla! and a version for Wordpress, making it a breeze. The best thing is that you can actually exclude items from the backups, which is so excellent for many people like myself. Thank you for developing this and thank you for sharing it with us!

Does exactly what it's advertised to do. Easy to install and use.
Support on the small problems I had (Had to do more with GoDaddy settings than the product itself) was quick and very helpful.
