At first it is a bit strange, since these fellows have their ver own layout, wich is quite different from what we're used to see in Joomla backoffice.
I love the extension, but I rated it "only" good - to encorage further improvements. I did had to hack the code at some point to get some of my needed improvments - and I got very good support on that (YES! they did help me to hack their own code)
My main complaint: the licensing is per site... and I have some 3 or 4 sites where I'd like to use this - it gets quite expensive. Furthermore, to take full advantage of Acajoom you must buy JLinks and JBounce...
On the other hand, I rate support as "Excellent!"

I have first installed the free version of Acajoom and it worked well. Then I have upgraded to a Pro Version. The customer support is very responsive and helpful. The program itself is very flexible and attractive. I really recommend trying it out.
Although, I haven't tried all the options that it has, and it has many, it does its job to the best.

I installed the free version first and then bought the pro, because I needed to insert content items into the newsletters.
But... not everything went as expected. There is not the possibility to remove the images from the introtext, the way you have to insert content items is also tiresome - first click on an item from the list, then copy the tag which it generates, and then paste that into the newsletter. Once you click on preview and return to the newsletter to edit it, you no longer see the inserted tags, but the whole article, which makes it confusing to add to, or to delete anything.
Also, I thought that by having a cb integration plugin, that you would be able to send newsletters to groups which have created as custom fields in cb, but apparently not. You can only send newsletters to lists. This was a complete letdown for me, as I needed this feature.
In the end I gave up. I have stepped over to sm2, which has all the features I need - shame it's not 1.5 native, but I'll just have to live with that.

I have used Acajoom Pro with 5 sites now. I started with the free version to see how it works. The client loved it and wanted more. So I purchased the pro version. I did run into a problem being able to save and send but it was resolved quickly by just contacting Joobi.
I'm now adding this to all my new sites. This product fully integrates with Joomla and clients LOVE being able to insert articles. This is a HUGE saving from monthly email marketing systems, which don't full integrate into Joomla sites.

I have set up Acajoom Pro on my news blogging site. I send approx 8000 email newsletter to registered subscribers and I an easily able to manage that through Acajoom Pro.
The support I have received while setting up acajoom Pro was excellent. They have assisted me in every way they can and been online to live chat through tricky issues 24/7.
I would recommend this module to anyone who wishes to send regular emails newsletters from their site.
The feature to add intros from existing articles along with any images is easy to use and brightens up the look and feel of your email when received by customers.
Only note would be to make sure your server can handle the workload because Acajoom Pro can.

Having tested the rest free software this is the best - installed so easily, has a great user interface and the best list management and reporting tools...but I could not get it to send emails. Having posted help requests for over a month on their forum I get no response. So you will need to pay for support or buy the commercial version. Shame as I really liked the free version.....

This is a great little bit of code, but unfortunately it doesn't have captcha. I installed this and before I got to the point where I could send an email, the bots started crawling my site and using the acajoom subscription form. I started to delete 100s of users, did a little research, and found out that the developers call this a "feature." They don't like captcha and suggest some "bad behaviour plugin." I tried as they suggested, but but that didn't stop the bots. So now I'm looking for another email list manager that won't add an hour of deleting false registrations to my already busy day

I can't give it a rating because it doesn't work for me: I can't edit the descriptions and insert text in the textareas. Please fix it as soon as possible, I think it could be a great extension!

We support all of the most popular editors for Joomla. Would you mind to tell us which WYSIWYG editor you use so that we can have a look at it and see if there is indeed an issue?

Easy installation.
But, sending newsletter is something very strange: a lot of error messages, a lot o waiting, a lot of other thing missing.
Support contacted on their website. Never bother to answer.
I don't recommend buying it BEFORE they show up an example of detailed statistics for the newsletters you send.
Sorry guys ... still more thing to be done at the script.

The details statistics features are already implemented in Acajoom. You can even get statistics on each link in the newsletter with the integration with jLink.

I have been using Acajoom News/Plus on websites of my clients for several years now and I am still happy with it (and my clients too!).
The support is great and swift. Could not find an update of Acajoom Plus for my own website and received it by email within a day!
What's left to say? I am familiar with PHPlist (not for Joomla) but Acajoom is so much easier AND more reliable.
Acajoom offers more then most of my clients can handle.

what's to say - i got the $90 version (still confused over whether that's plus or pro) as I wanted to send a newsletter to my users along the lines of:
Latest Articles
-link to article 1
-link to article 2
-link to article 3
Latest Articles
-link to article 4
-link to article 5
-link to article 6
and it was darn trivial. One token issue, which admittedly I didn't report on the forums or do much digging into, was that the list of articles that it provided wasn't complete, and it was a dump of many articles on the site with no ability to filter.
But, I didn't care as I wanted to run a SQL job anyhow with
"select section, category, id,
from jos_content
where created (within my target dates) or (modified (within my target dates) AND state=published
this component made it DAMN EASY as all you have to do is create the newsletter, embedding {contentitem:|} .
PLUS you can personalize emails by inserting in the name or any community builder tag.
There's even a track # of people who've read the HTML email. I can't currently figure out how to see what links a given person clicked on, I can't seem to find this jLinks program referred, but that's not a huge deal for my application so I haven't dug into that either.
So, if that's what you want, this is perfect!

Just uploaded the latest version of Acajoon News and it works really awesome. There were no problems with returned emails for too long or nig headers, or spam. Star using it now!
They really care for their clients, even for those who use the Acajoom News Free. Thanks a lot.

I love Acajoom Pro. It easy to setup and use and I always buy it for websites I develop. I also love and appreciate the fast and helpful support I get from their team. I would definitely recommend Acajoom.

This component does what they say it does. When I did encounter a problem the support team went out of their way to provide a solution. I tried all the other newsletter / mail management compontents and this one is by far the best. Great job guys.
