The template must include a position for the Message (jdoc:include type= "message").
When using JoomFish, the global configuration for each language should be parametered.
As of 2009-06-19, 28 languages are included:
English, French, Danish, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Slovak, Albanian, Swedish, Thaï, Polish, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Dutch, Catalan, Turkish, Portuguese (Portugal), Portuguese (Brazil), Gujarati, Japanese, Spanish, Romanian, Montenegrin, Belarussian, Russian.
Will add languages when they come. Please send new language file if you make one.
As of 2009-06-23 , 3 languages more.
Lao, Estonian, Farsi
As of 2009-07-18, 1 language more
Tamil(Sri-Lanka)
As of 2010-08-26, 2 languages more
Arabic Unitag, Czech
TIP:
The first messages and mails are the default ones in your language/xx-XX/xx-XX.com_user.ini file, as if the plugin was not published.
You may want to change slightly the message for the user to reflect the new way of registration.
the token is
REG_COMPLETE_ACTIVATE=[...]. //add here in your language: An admin will then verify your mail and approve your registration.
and also change the content of the mail sent to the user in the same file
SEND_MSG_ACTIVATE= //change there
After activation you may login...etc.

After approval by an administrator, you will be able to login...etc.
Then, the mails and messages depends on the plugin ini file.
When the user clicks on the activation link, a new message is displayed telling the user that an admin has to approve his registration.
At the same time an e-mail is sent to the admin letting the choice to activate the user or not.
If the admin activates the user, a new mail is sent to the user letting the user know that login is now possible.
WARNING:
This plugin should NOT be used with Jomsocial!
If it was, the site would be vulnerable.
As it is exactly what we need, we have donwloaded and installed. Didnt work. Many forum on the www visited, not found solution we could implement. With try and error no solution. With this extension the website administrator can approve or not approve new membership applications which allows filtering for only approved members which makes removing unwanted sign ups a breeze.

Is a very good pluging, even it have a few minor errors, as no email send to the user after aproval is made and one error show up when the user click on the confirmation link (Could not instantiate mail function).
But except for this small problem, is a wonderfull plugin and i use it on all my sites

Have installed plugin and it works fantastic.
Will implement this plugin in all my sites. I am sick of all the spammers. Now I have at least the possibility to filter them out and list them on stop forum spam.

Does exactly what is needed to control Joomla site registration approval.
It is excellent plugins such as this that should be considered as standard in all future Joomla versions.

This feature is present in 1.6 ;)
I'll go ahead and give this an excellent score because it's a great feature. I have had no issues with it working out of the box, and it works great!
I do have one question though. We have multiple administrators, and even one user administrator (who is only a publisher, but who will be managing the new users). How can I change the workflow email to send to her address instead of mine?

Registration can only be approved by and administrator or superadministrator.
All programs should work like this. You just install it and it works. All the folks of doubtable intentions are now stopped in their tracks. It just feels so good to regain control. Now I just need to find a way of finding the "interested" users and not punishing them. I'm actual thinking of telephone even if it is a step backwards.

So far so good. I know its only a simple thing but just what I was looking for. Easilly installed and seems to be working as described. Thank you and keep up the good work.
I notice in the final approved confirmation email it has the url in the subject and the site name in the body of the message. if these two could be reversed it would be better I think, but either way this works great and provides exactly the user approval function I wanted.
I cannot recommend this plugin highly enough. It's highly effective and extremely easy to install. As a complete newb I was bewildered by the write-up but simply downloaded and installed it and it was up and running in no time. Top marks and a big thank you to the developers.

One minor caveat is approval e-mail is being sent with 'From' as 'Nobody'. I tried to fiddle with the plugin a bit, but can't seem to get it right...
