Hider PluginLanguage

Editor's Note
  • This extension requires registration to download.
HIDER, from the crew behind JUGA, BILLETS, SYNK, and MANGA, is a Joomla! plugin that will hide parts of your content articles based on the visitor's login status.

* {reg} This displays only to logged-in users {/reg}
* {pub} This displays only when the user is NOT logged-in {/pub}

Additionally,you can hide text based on user groups:

* {author} Authors only {/author}
* {editor} Editors only {/editor}
* {publisher} Publishers only {/publisher}
* {manager} Managers only {/manager}
* {admin} Administrators only {/admin}
* {super} Super Administrators only {/super}

It's as simple as that.

NOTE: Joomla does NOT fire plugin events when it renders content in PDF or RSS feeds, so therefore this plugin will NOT get triggered. Any text restricted by HIDER will be displayed, and any other content plugins you have will NOT get triggered. This is a Joomla issue, not an issue with the content plugins.

If you are interested in following or assisting with development on HIDER, please join us at http://projects.dioscouri.com where you can report bugs, make feature requests, submit code and see our roadmap.

Cheers!

Hi !
Good pluggin but I can't use it with article who are stock in flexicontent :(

When i use this plugin with article who are not in flexicontent i don't have problem. If i try to use it whith article in flexicontent, i can see on my site the markup {reg} {/reg}

Perhaps the problem don't come from flexicontent but it's the only difference i have see...

Sorry for my bad englsh

Performs exactly as described. This extension could not be any easier to use. Works great for hiding content different from user groups.

So nice... I can create a totally custom page for users when they login to represent their profile and give site information based on that users profile or site information for guests and then remove it for "logged in users."

Happy Days...

I was a little worried seeing some low ratings on this plugin but the bloody thing rocks! I haven't tried embedding tags but don't see the logic in it -- if PUBlic then {pub}You don't get to see address{/pub} else if REGistered then {reg}1234 Main Street{/reg}.

AND, I was able to wrap the REG tags around an image! Lovely plug in, just lovely!!!

This plugin will work great on my site if I can get it to work! I am putting {reg}blah blah blah{/reg} around some links so that a user would have to be logged in to see them however I am not able to use more than one at a time. When I try and create a second {reg}blah blah blah{/reg} around a link, I dont see results in my website...so 3 starts for now...otherwise id be giving six!

Super extension easy to use! (don't forget to activate the plug-in...)

The only thing that prevented me from giving a five star is that I didn't find a way to add multiple levels. I totally agreed that, for example, the tag {admin} doesn't show to super admins... but it should have a way to nest "tags" or create a {admin-above} for admin and above...

I saw in the very first review that there was an idea similar and the author said he would implement it... is it in progress or you put the idea aside since it was too hard to develop?

I know that the author seems to be very active here, so I guess I'll have an answer... which is a good point for you: good support!

I'm no programmer or developer...just a guy who is managing a joomla-based site and was looking for a way to easily restrict access to certain content and links on my company's site.

Had this up and running within 60 seconds...and it worked PERFECTLY!

No muss, no fuss...just exactly what it says.

I love it when extensions are simple, easy to implement, and work consistently. Thanks!

Works just as described! I needed to be able to allow users/members who are logged in links to special presentations, while others get no access, and this allows me to do just that. Simple to install and use. Thanks!

I run a member based site that is both free and premium based. I wanted to offer free based users certain ads while displaying downloads for premium members. This tool was exactly what I needed. With a little code addition, I was able to add other user groups to the list.

Great plugin and easy to use.

I use this all the time along with Juga. You can do some really neat things with the tags. And without messing up your pages. Create some custom modules, call them with loadposition, wrap them in permssion tags, and there you go. Keep up the great work.
