unfortunately this plugin seems not to work as it should be.
I entered some emailadresses that should be prevented from getting registered exactly as it appears in the documentation: but I could register all of them!
Then I entered some IPs that should be denied: I could easily and without any restriction browser the site with these IPs!
Then I opened a support ticket at the developers page. All I got was a autoresponder that told me:
"One of our staffs will response to you within 24-hour.

But nobody did respond for more than 3 days.

Thank you for this extension providing not only "restrict access to" function but also "allow only access to" with a specific domain name. So only the members of my company can register to the site. thx
This product is nice. I found a problem that other people may also have. When you choose url-friendly for search engines (under general settings tab) foobla restricted registration is not working. So mention that you should not have url-friendly activated. Maybe a fix is needed? Keep on good work
I have given this component an excellent rating because I set the parameters in seconds and tested the registration blocker which worked immediately with no fuss so anyone who should not be registering on your site will simply not know why they can't register and move on.
I have been receiving a lot of problems from .ru email registrations and have now blocked any email from .ru.
This appears to be perfect for blocking country specific emails before your site even starts to get spammed by these people, ip addresses can be blocked, usernames etc. Highly recommended and a plugin that you will probably forget about untill you need it to add another block.

Rated good only because the instructions are not accurate. I'm using Joomla 1.5.8 and need to be able to "whitelist" a significant number of domainnames qualifying for registration.
It took me hours to figure out the problem. Each name must indeed be on a new line, but each must be separated by a ";".
Note, there should be no ; after the last listed name.
I'm looking forward to getting my site operational and this plugin is just what I require.

Fixed. Thank you for your report.
IP blocking seems to work well (even with 1.5.8). You can set it to activate for just registrations - or for the whole site. You can use wildcards.
The username blocking is not working with 1.5.8 - I guess this will be fixed in time.
Its a Joomla plug-in - so you need to look in the Joomla Plugin Manager for the settings.

Options are awsome! I wish it could work with my 1.5.8 installation :(

Hello, this is an excellent plugin.
It is easy to install and configure but does not work with joomla 1.5.8.
I have limited hotmail mails and users can continue signing up.
