With this new release JoomlaGhost is able to clone, backup and restore Joomla1.5.x sites!
JoomlaGhost is a new Backup and Live Cloning Component for Joomla.
The component gives you the functions to clone your site on a server of your choice and provides functionality to backup and restore your site.
Feature list:
1. LiveCloning (Direct Server-to-Server Cloning) Enter your destination info and clone your site directly to the new server or domain.
2. FileCloning Create a full site backup and restore it on any server.
3. Backup Create full or partial database backups based on your input (predefined filter for easy Joomla core table selection).
4. Restore Restore your backups with a few clicks.
5. Destination: open Your backups (file cloning) contain all important data to allow a restore on any server.
6. AJAX functionality JoomlaGhost is new! We have built in the latest AJAX features to enhance usability.
7. Progress Information You are informed about every progress state during the clone/backup/restore process.
8. Restore dialog step by step The restore dialog directs you step by step through the restore process.
9. Tool Tips Tool tips give you additional information about every important setting.
10. Cronjob instruction generator Create the instructions for calling your cron backup file simply in the dialog.
11. Multi Language Every JoomlaGhost comes with: English, German (more languages will be added soon!)

It keep telling me that it already is installed or to review some XML file.
As for what I can read here, then I should not expect to get any support.... waste of money.

The user seems to try to upload the wrong component. We provide both versions (Joomla 1.0.x and Joomla 1.5.x) in the package.

Save your money. Partly it not work - support poor.

Tried the demo and couldn't get it to work. Possibly due to a slightly unconventional server setup . . but who knows?. They don't respond to email, there's no phone number. You are totally on your own with this one.

I have used this extension for my website which i made before on a demo server, than trasferred to the server without problems.

This does exactly what the developers say it does! Highly recommended! I was able to clone my site with all file and folder permissions intact (which has been the hardest thing up to now), straight onto a new server. The only glitch I came across was when restoring the site on the new server, the field which asks for the new database host didn't allow me as many characters as I needed. I got around this by using another domain name that points to the same server. So guys, please don't limit the amount of characters in that box! Other than that, BRILLIANT!
