It does the job well. I have been able to set it up to authenticate users via my university's Single sign-on process. However, it messes up your Search engine index. It adds a 303 redirect to ALL pages on the website, causing Google and other search engines to be unable to display any information about the site. I suspect it was also due to the login page of my university disallowing robots. Still, this is unacceptable behavior. I had to uninstall this plugin as a consequence.

I use it on Joomla 2.5.9 to login to my custom CAS server.

While there is good documentation it was still a lot of trial and error to get all configurations working to my liking. There is detailed logging functionality but debugging Joomla is still quicker for those who can do that. Getting federated login to work is probably always going to be painful...

If you want CAS this package is way better than writing it yourself!

I would be very pleased if I could get this extension to work at all, as it appears to be exactly what I am looking for.
Sadly, although the installation seems to succeed, attempting to add a Server brings up a blank modal dialog box. I seem to have installed and enabled all the required pieces so I am at a loss. Any suggestions from succesful installers or the developer would be appreciated...

This is the 2.5 version of the previous great 1.5 version coded by M. Demko.
Of course this is a very particular extension, and not everybody would need this.
But if you do, it perfectly does the job.
We are using it at our university, were we are working with Joomla! for almost 4 years.
It can be hard if you are not familiar with CAS, but become really powerfull if you dig into it.
Thanks for this extension, a must have for us.
