Core Design Login As Plugin

Plugin allows an administrator to log in as any other user. Great tool for Virtuemart or JoomSocial component.
Really sophisticated and safe authentication routine.

This is something I have found extremely useful and would even suggest this should be a core plugin with Joomla, as the testing of user logins if an administrator is setting them up rather than user registrations is crucial. Thank you very much for making this great plugin.

This worked perfectly for me. I'm wondering if the people having problems (a) installed both the Log In As... plugin and the required "Scriptegrator" plugin (both available for free from Core Design) and (b) remembered to publish both plugins. I had it up and running within minutes and I can see that it will be very useful on some membership-based sites.

"Extension requires Core Design Scriptegrator plugin, version 2.1.0 or higher." I've installed newest version of Core Design but there is no effect.

I don't know but I get the impression that my issue has to do with the PHP version. On my local computer with 5.3.3 it works while on my remote server with 5.2.2 I get this error: Authentication plugin installation failed!

The Core Design show the same error, but gave me insufficient information how to debug this.

Login As plugin is tested on PHP 5.2 and PHP 5.3 as well.
Please use our forum again if you need more assistance.
Thank you.

I spent about two hours going through login modules trying to find what I needed. I wanted to have just the words Login visible on the page and then when clicked to be taken to a login form.

This mod did the trick beautifully. Initially I didn't know that the Scripgator plugin was needed and this cause me much confusion but once installed it worked very well.

For me a nice to have would be the option of being able to change the word Login to something like Member Login.

All in all I am very pleased that I found this mod. I have asked about the changing of the word Login on the forum so I will waut to hear if there is a solution.

Installed and activated this Plug-in and it added a professional looking icon to the User Manager. However attempts to log in as another user simply produced and undefined error, i.e. "Error !" and no explanation as to the nature of the error.
On checking my Plug-ins (with the intention of uninstalling) I find there have been 4 Authentication Plug-ins created which when I try to uninstall them, produce the error message "Plugin Uninstall: Manifest File invalid or not found." This will become an irritation as I like a tidy admin.
To sum up. A nice idea but not yet ready for distribution.
