Great login module with light box login and registration option. Captcha support. Useful options.
Some wish list:
- add link to user profile along with log out button (though I did it for my site easily)
- add support for "Encrypt configuration" extension
- or embed some native encryption for password exchange
- add support for SSL. But since many hosts don't have SSL, previous option are more universal
- facebook login integration :)

I tryed to find horizontal login module, at last I found BT Login.

It's only one thing lost in options - padding, size and font-size of buttons.

This is probably one of the few login modules that looks good with nice effects. However, there are some limitations. The only thing that i didn't like was the module was unable to indicate if the user is activated or not. The error is not specific enough unless the user knows he/she has not activated the account yet.
Overall, this is still a great module and room for greatness definitely.

Phenomenal extension- when the core login module fails, this one picks up the slack. I used this with the HOT menu plugin and it works pretty well. However, i do not think that it is possible for this module to take on the appearance of the core login module. The login/out effects (I shouldn't call them effects, but I will for lack of a better word) can subtract from a website if you want the website to be simplistic. However, this module works very well, and that is the bottom line.

I've got already a completely fresh installation of Joomla! This module 2.5.8 and experimenting. Always the same. Also, I've tried two different hosters. Other versions of PHP and much more ...
I have mentioned in the German Joomla Forum the problem.
Without a functioning registry, the module is unfortunately useless.

Without a functioning registry, the module is unfortunately useless.
It's really nice module but I was experiencing errors ajax.php and sometimes i just can't login. There is a support for membership users, but in my opinion i don't want to subscribe if the products aren't really good option.

However, your two reasons for voting our product are not quite correct:
- New version of BT Login was already released with ajax bug fixed on 25 September 2012. From now on you are free to use our product without coming across this error. This is the download link of the product (totally free):

I suppose I should just pay my $15 to someone who seems to have a decently working product. I have tried all the support suggestions and it didn't work. I am sorry to report that telling users to change a file from 644 to 755 when AdminTools fix permissions will always correct it to protect the site, and AdminTools is more widely known this this little ditty, then no matter how much you blast me, I still cannot get the app to work.
Maybe next time.
PS--if you're gonna judge me for my posts, note how many I have. Of the others whom post positively or negatively you must ask how many posts do they actually make. Are they users (lots) or abusers (few). :)

We have to run ajax.php file not through index.php of joomla for ajax login & registration processes! So some website won't work properly with this feature! But in the new version of BT Login, we completely removed ajax.php & all ajax requests will call directly to index.php! And you do not change any permissions of any files!

I like the design of this extension. And I like, that it brings very small additional code into my website.
At first implementation on my website, I had several difficulties, because there were conflicts with the template-CSS and with the redirect URL generation.
Then I had eMail discussion with the developer of BT Login. I gave him access to my Joomla installation and FTP access.
Within some days, the developer has created the necessary changes on his code and now everything works as it should.
I suppose, there will be an update in these days and with this, I give my full recommendation this extension!
Further I send a big "thank you" to the developer, because of his strong engagement.

This is a beautifully styled very easy to use login module that is easy to use and quick to implement.
You may need to change the permissions on one file once it’s installed. Make sure modules/mod_bt_login/ajax.php is set to 755 to keep from getting an error if your user types in an incorrect password. This is an easy fix. For the newbie you just need to use filezilla or the file manager provided by your hosting provider to set that permission.
Other than the one change I think this is a module that a lot of people will be very happy with. The styling of it and the way it opens the window for logging in add a very professional look to your site. I think the way it identifies the user by saying the traditional “Hi (User Name)” is a nice touch in the place of the login/registration buttons is a nice touch.
The customization for this module is really easy and makes it a dream to match to your site.

the extension is installed very easy and seems to work at first sight. However there are different error ("755" , "too few arguments...") messages when registering a new user via this module. This wouldn't be a problem, if the provider could make a solution public. In the forum there are many posts about this particular problem, but no public solution.
I wish joomla can allow six or seven stars like would have given it to this extension.
