* {reg} This displays only to logged-in users {/reg}
* {pub} This displays only when the user is NOT logged-in {/pub}
Additionally,you can hide text based on user groups:
* {author} Authors only {/author}
* {editor} Editors only {/editor}
* {publisher} Publishers only {/publisher}
* {manager} Managers only {/manager}
* {admin} Administrators only {/admin}
* {super} Super Administrators only {/super}
* {special} Authors and above {/special}
It's as simple as that.
NOTE: Joomla does NOT fire plugin events when it renders content in PDF or RSS feeds, so therefore this plugin will NOT get triggered. Any text restricted by HIDER will be displayed, and any other content plugins you have will NOT get triggered. This is a Joomla issue, not an issue with the content plugins.

5 stars for this free plugin. It does exactly what it says. No bells and whistles, but none are needed in my case. I'm very pleased with how easy it is.

I do not usually leave reviews, but I had to for this. It is so simple to use, saves tons of time, and is extremely useful. I am sure I will be using this a LOT! Thanks for the great plugin!
The only thing you could ask for would be a {special}{/special} to leave comments for all admins simply. Not a necessity, just a nice addition.

Oh, nice idea! You're lucky I saw that, otherwise it might not have been added to our list of Feature Requests! Next time, make the feature request in our Support Center so we know what you're looking for!

This is a great plun in but the access restriction is not working in RSS. When the contents listing in the RSS feed, all the tags and {reg} tag are listing as it is. So the hide area is showing up in RSS listing.

Joomla doesn't fire the content plugins when displaying in RSS or PDF! Therefore, how could this *content plugin* filter content in RSS feeds?
This is a must have extension when your site deals with clients.
Now I can show especial promotions to my users and force them to register, so I have a database of possible clients... Good for marketing.. And i can use special promotions for my "VIP" Clients, under the group of authors.

Install was a breeze, I went to my article and used the little bit of code, even wrapping it around a mosEasyMedia embedded flash, worked immediately. Good job
Excellent - I've used this to hide/show a gallery. Very simple to implement.
This does just what it says it will. Simple easy fast. Love it, it is just what I needed.
Being a first-time Joomla! user, I have run into a few roadblocks when getting my company's new Joomla site ready for the public. Most of them came from different extensions we've chosen to use and integrate.
HIDE is most definitely perfect in every regard! Easy to install and implement. It suits our needs to a tee! It's virtually shocking how well it harnesses and utilizes the power of Joomla. Thank you so very much for creating such a great tool.

ok it works but thats about it.
it hides but it doesnt show any text like "to see the following bla bla bla you need to login".
but now nothing shows..

..... that's what the {pub}{/pub} tags are for! You need to replace the text that's hidden with whatever should display for non-logged-in users... amazing that you overlooked this.
There's really not much else to say in addition to what previous reviews have already stated. This plugin is made to show specific content to specific groups, and it does it flawlessly. It even allows simple integration of multiple tags in one article!
At first, I thought that paid components with advanced features were the best use for what I needed, but I'm glad that I found this one. Kudos to the developer, and keep up the good work!

This is my first review. I really love how easy this was to install and use. I was looking for something to hide the content and this worked excellent.
I have given you the benefit of the doubt. I find this plugin an amazing addition, and it works truly dreamlike... I will, however, request one thing... Make it work in modular positions.
Still, for what it currently offers, I give it 5/5 all the way. Well done guys, this really is what extensions should do... "Work Perfect!"
