Eyesite scans a list of directory trees, storing the details of each file in the database. The details stored include the file date/time, size, and md5 checksum. You setup a Cron job to re-scan as often as you want. If any changes are found, Eyesite sends an email to the configured recipients.

This could work great if you have a small website. For me, it's not working at all. It uses too much server resources to scan and my hosting provider has instructed me to remove it. The idea is great but the implementation is not what you would expect.

It make so many requests to server, so, if you use flood control( like me ), you will gonna be blocked by your own site!!
If something change in future, i'll try it again.
Thanks for the great idea

That is a very fair point, and a few people have encountered this problem. I need to split Eyesite's workload into smaller chunks. Unfortunately it may be a few months before I get time to look at that. Sorry!

This is an easy & terrific component for securing a website! Well done!

A really indispensable component to give you a good night rest!
It checks your files as many times a day you want and alerts you if someone is messing around with your files.

This extention is very important for admins!
If a site have hacked (ex. forgots to update joomla) then the admin can see the changed files that are affected from hacking

This is one of the most important extension as far as I am concerned, being a victim of phishing and hacking at least now i can keep an eye on my site and just in case i know which file has been tempered with.
