I am in the midst of perhaps my most stressful days as a webmaster. You are right, this product works very well and FAST!!!.

At first I had trouble using the ftp mode but when I tried using the direct mode it cloned my whole site in 2 minutes.

Their support system via tickets is excellent and they responde in minutes.

I am not technically advanced, so I have to admit that I have had some problems figuring out this component. However, the fast support offered through the developer's support ticket system has been GREAT. When I have been confused, he has been patient. When I encountered permissions problems, he solved them.

Granted, the software would benefit from a proper, but brief instruction manual, to give both the big picture of what it does, and how to do the details. But in the end, it does clone sites, and it does backup everything with one go. That is what it claims to do, and it does it well.

We bought this product today, and started to play with our site (still in development). Since it's a hebrew site - we managed to really mess up things when we backed up the mysql, and restored it with wrong configuration. Fortunately, the support is very responsive and professional. We got back up and running in a breeze.

I bought this component after trying out the other free versions, even the cron job one.

I have read and seen the excellent tutorials on the joomlaplug website. I also started using the component in several of my sites without a glitch.

Until I stumbled into a JaclPlused site I have. There the restore function would no enable me to gain admin access to the restored site. Bummer - I thought!

No problem! Just went into the ticket support system of the site and started a new ticket with this issue. After some debugging and live support (due to the exquisite nature of the problem - ACL) Ovidiu - the joomlaplug GOD (I don't know how else to call him) the problem was solved. And I might add it was not a straightforward one. AND, it wasn't actually a Jomola Cloner bug. I also have to add that the return times on support requests is BLINDING FAST!

Therefore I came to two conclusions:

1 - I must review this component, coder, support website as 5 STAR.

2 - Ovidiu must surely NOT sleep! He answers your prayers before you even submit your ticket.

I am totally satisfied with this backup solution. I do sleep a bit better, now that I know I have full backups of my sites with SQL DB's and all.

This product does everything it says it does, you can completely back up and clone an install on another server altogether if you want.

More importantly, the level of support and willingness to help on the part of the developer made this probably the most pleasant purchase of a commercial Joomla product I've ever had!

Essential tool. Completed site with dbase from my local WAMP server to the remote dev site in a few minutes. Brought a smile to my face :o) A great timesaver and I found it easy to use.

Installed like a charm, worked as advertised. I dosen't come much better than this...

Installed against a mambo databse there were a couple of issues. Contacted JoomlaPlug via the support ticket system on the site and within an hour or so the issues were fixed.

So not only is the product well made, efficient and works as advertised there is also a solid, committed and responsive support system right behind it.

Did I say it couldn't get better, well it just has.

JoomlaPlug sets a standard to be envied by others who claim to provide such products and service.

I wholeheartedly recommed this product! It keeps my sites alive.

Support was top rate via email, and was required more because of my shortcomings rather than the software, but it is easy to use. Think i was having a bad day. It is also so fast to replicate a site. The alternative; downloading a backup with phpmyadmin or mysql administrator, ftp a new joomla to new location, overwrite the new db with the backup db, takes a few minutes. With this its done in seconds.

Bought the component only yesterday in view of the upgrade to Joomla! 1.0.10.
Backup works perfect and the cloning feature as well. The only problem I encountered was cloning a site to a server with different PHP and MySQL configuration. But support from Joomlaplug was perfect. I got the answers to my questions faster than I could test it out.
Worth every penny for sure.

I have tried many other backup components but I was never satisfied with the many steps. Now I have to do so much less steps to create a backup and to restore is.
This product is indeed very good, and it's worth every penny!

I had a lot of problems in the past. Every time I made something wrong it was to late. After 100 crashes I decide to have backup. But for proper backup you have to do a lot of steps. When I saw "JoomlaCloner" I start to think about it. When I installed it on my website, I was happy as I can be. I still can't believe. Backup for 15 seconds - it is amazing. Clone feature it's also relieve for webadmins. Now I have test environment where I try everything before I do anything. With JoomlaCloner I don't worry I can do something wrong and crash my website again.

I bought this tool to use on a customer site, to automate backups daily.

All I can say is it's worth every penny: Well worth the investment.

This component simplifies the process for backing up your Joomla! site. The ability to use crontab to automate the process and to send the backups to a remote FTP site is excellent. It is very straightforward to set up and use.

I initially had problems getting certain parts to work correctly. The developer was very responsive and helpful to get the issues corrected. I really appreciated the quick respsonse time for support.

the component will prevent the 500 error if you use the cron script to generate backups! If your provider sets the limit of the max_execution_time the script will get you an error as any other php script that needs time to do it's process!

Initially had some trouble getting this to work on our site but got an immediate reply when I posted the error details and they looked at our site and sorted it straight away for us - very much appreciated!

Is really simple to use & much faster than our old way of doing backups which if I'm honest wasn't very often so we desperately needed this!!

i asked this via email already but there was no response from the devs:
will the component prevent a 500 internal server error or timeout if my provider has set memory limits for executing scripts by stopping and reinitiating the script in intervals?
i would be happy to buy if it prevents this as so far there is no alternative backup tool.

Just what we have been looking for. A way to replicate J! installs for new customer installations.

too bad it is commercial license..
in about 3 months as far as i know there will be a revamped and much extended version of bigape backup which is for free!
will be worth to compare the two then! bigape will probably not offer the cloning and user frontend installation function though..:(
