The Joomla! Extensions Directory ™

This extension will display a ReCaptcha form element within any Joomla form page. It consists of a component and a plugin. The component is used to define which forms you want the captcha to appear in and where in the form it should appear, and the plugin will add the actual captcha code to the HTML when creating a page.

The component part is a bit tricky to set up, as you need to investigate your forms' HTML output and retrieve a few of the form parameters to identify which form to place the captcha on. Not exactly rocket science, but this part may be demanding for the HTML novice.

Good part is that this extension will try to re-populate forms on reload when the wrong code was entered, so users won't loose all of their already entered form data.

Unfortunately the positioning part did not work for me, as the captcha was always included at the very bottom of the page, not within the form. To place the captcha, one has to define which form element it should appear next to, but regardless of what element ID I entered, the captcha always rendered just before the closing body tag. I suspect that the plugin is reponsible for that part, but cannot confirm or fix this. If the positioning had worked, I would have rated this extension with stars.

This extension is really small and very handy to use, i thanks to the developer to make a very nice and easy to integrate captcha function, keep doing good work :) really appreciated..

I've been trying to get a captcha program to work alongside Mosets Hot Property, this is the only free extension that comes close to working. I've almost got it to work, but need some help from the developer to fix the final problem, however, I'm not sure if there is any support for this?

I find this extension very useful and so happy to use it.

Another plugin that is not user friendly. Too much coding, too many bugs, too bad support. This does not belong in a quality application as joomla untill it is fully mature and provided with decent documentation.

This is very great component and I'm sure every Joomla built apps must have this captcha component to prevent their sites from spam intruders. Easy to install, Easy to use>>> Hats off to those developers.

P.S: New comers, please follow the attached pics on this component page to know about configuration. It's not spoon feeder, but have clue for how to use. ;-).

We would expect developer to come up with the Help Document link soon.

I was very satisfied with this extensions for about a year until i reacently discoverd, that extensions generate recaptcha on every form. But because id positioning value is not matched on every form, recaptcha box appeare at the bottom of the page, right before body closing tag.

I hope this will be fixed some day, because overall extension is really good. Good work.

This is one of the best "non-invasive" captcha solutions I've ever seen. Very recommending! Sets up from backend, wroks flawlessly on front end and most importantly I like that on wrong reCaptcha entering you can restore all form fields which is so user friendly. Thank you!
Now, for Virtuemart registration this plugin might work for reCaptcha protection but form restoration will not restore fields. I had to upgrade code to make it work. I contacted developer to share the new code but no response as of yet, hope he will get back to me and it will be available in new version soon.

Tricky to setup, but once it's done it works great! Also it both works with Community Builder and uses the "official" reCaptcha... so that's nice too! :)

This is a very clever and useful extension!

The only documentation is a video where the person speaking can barely be heard. If you pay close attention, however, the process is spelled out quite clearly.

This is an excellent app and I'll be taking a much closer look at how it works. Nice job!

I can't rate this because there is simply no documentation for this and as a non-programmer I expect a plugin to have documentation that leads me to the information I need to make a product functional for me. I have integrated many plugind and components on my site with out issue whenever they provide the necessary docs to get the job done. This looks like exactly like the product I want and need, I simply don't understand how to make it work!
