You have to put the number into {phone}{/phone} tags to cloak it.
Maybe I didn't understand how to use this, but in my usually fast pace of quickly grabbing and installing the first thing I think might work I downloaded and installed and enabled this plugin and then put the tags around my phone number and it all looked pretty smooth but when I saved and viewed the page it looked all messed up.
Within the Editor of the article, it read "this email is protected and you need Java to view it" or something like that. From the webpage (both Chrome and Firebox) it showed a long string of formatting code where the tag was 'wrapping' the phone number I wanted to 'cloak'.
When I went to remove the tags, it was tricky and I eventually edited the raw HTML trying to isolate what I thought was the extensive Java or whatever code that had populated in the article.
I eventually got rid of it.
Again, the fact that this didn't work for me could be 100% my fault, since I really didn't look for any instructions or trouble shoot it at all.
