I really like this component, it is a feature that I am asked for a lot. How do I search in the admin area? Filter is great but adding search is much better. The component does exactly what it says is does and installed quickly, easily and works.

However, It only searches menu, article, section, category and modules. So if you have a component that you are adding content too (e.g. Jobline) then it will not search that.

It is good for simpler sites, but not for the more complex.

I've spent weeks building 4 different sites with Joomla and using the sample data for a guide, but I felt like I was in the House of Mirrors, as I would make adjustments to an article or look for a title based on the content, just to learn that it was the wrong article.

This component makes things VERY simple. Great component. You've literally save me hours.

This is such a timesaver. I found it by accident. It makes it easy to find and then edit whatever article / story you have in the system.

Would be nice if there was a front end module for access to people below manager.

I'm installing this in all my sites.

I've been using Joomla! for several sites for quite a few years now. After using you extension, I found myself so stupid that I didn't think of making such an extension before you did.

Man you did a great job! This extension fills a gap in a core Joomla! install. I would vote for it to be included in the basic Joomla! package.

Kudos for making something to help assist with major problems that I and other web developers who create sites for others are having.

As you say, how is a normal user supposed to remember what manager to look in to find the piece of content.

Would be excellent to be able to include this on the front page of the admin screens. This search combined with a tree view of a site would fix a major hole in joomla @ the moment.

Though I know now how to navigate Joomla, what a great tool to use if I want to be lazy or in a hurry! Thank you!

Forget 'newbs', this thing saves me so much time it's ridiculous. Run a search, get results fast, click on the link and in a lot of cases you save yourself at least 1 screen's worth of mouseclicking--and a lot more in some cases.

My only concern, and it's not major, is if this extension has any security holes that would make it incompatable with sensitive or extremely busy sites.

Other than that, it's ALSO very good for new users and clients that are learning the setup. Great job!!

I found this way too late to help me, as I now understand joomla. But it is a great tool, and a must install for new and old users.

As a brand new joolmalan, I downloaded this extension and I have found it to be a great asset to my work with the program!!!

I've not had any problems with it, and it's quite helpful in locating the things I need to find so that I can get up and running fast!
