Advanced Administrator Menu ComponentModule

Having trouble navigating the Components menu in the Joomla Administrator when you have dozens of extensions installed? Advanced Administrator Menu has been designed to give you the ability to create additional menus in the Administrator Menubar. Group components from your favourite vendor together, your most commonly used extensions or just balance the length of your component menus.

Advanced Administrator Menu replaces the standard Joomla Admin Menu in order to give you these new features.

Up to date for Joomla 1.5.11.

Just what I needed for my big sites. I can now break things down into Admin Extension, Phoca and all the extensions with multiple extensions.

Plus it is free. Can't beat that.

Very impressed.

This is a fantastic module and I was able to make it do exactly what I wanted with a little bit of hacking.

I still can't figure out why the disabled menu categories show up when the menu is deactivated (i.e. when editing a content item) has anyone else been able to solve this?

It would be nice to see the ability to change the names of menu items in future itterations (I had to manually edit the components database table) as well as parameters to turn off items/other menus from appearing (I manually disabled the content menu - since I am using K2 - and the joomla help in the help menu so as not to confuse my users)

Great idea put to work. It's great to be able to make a simple menu for clients or to group my favorites together. Good job.

Really useful for getting rid of a long list of extensions that disappear off the screen.

You unpublish the standard Joomla admin module and publish the Advanced Administrator Menu in its place. Set up some tags which you assign to your components. That's basically all you need to do to be up and running.

The website has install doc and answers most questions, like what to do if you accidentally unpublish both admin modules...and end up with no admin tabs. Yes, I did that :-)

So, I recommend this. A great component that works really well!
I run several huge sites, and I have been looking for a tool like this advanced administrator menu, for sooo long time now ;-)
It is easily installed, and make the normally frustrating dropdown menu obsolete…

Thanks.. I just love this extension, it should be a core component....

Easy to install and configure. Great if you have a lot of components installed. Thank you for developing it.

Easy install. Works perfectly.
I've had it installed for a while now and it just makes life simple.
It's great for when you have an Extension that then also has other related extensions. You can then create a Menu that has all of them grouped together.
If you have many components this is what you need.

I was actually searching for something just like this, this weekend.

It installs very easily and works just as advertised!

Thank You so much for this! I have so many components installed and was getting tired of scrolling all the time.
This installs so easily, and integrates so well, you would think this was part of the Joomla! core. It makes the administration interface more intuitive, since you can organize your components the way you want. Overall great extension.

Searchin for a long time für this easy, but mega-blasting tool!

After reading the tutorial it works fine.

thx a lot.
Now finally I can view the items in the menu section no matter what system I'm using, moving from a 30" screen to a laptop was a pain since our list of extensions has always been hard to get to. Thanks for a great add-on. Kepp up the good work.
I put "excellent" if the language adapted to the site.
Otherwise the idea is really interesting and very useful when we start to have a bit too much extension.
Continuous like that trying to take into account my comment:)

It's wonderful for creating more menu's and is very easy to set up! Makes it easier for me! Well done! Cheers Josh Lewis.
We've been using this simple administrator extension for a while and it makes life so much easier for back-end access. We can create our own back-end top menu items and move them around. A great productivity improvement. Thanks, DANIEL...
