This extremely simple plugin (also known as JVcheck) for your Joomla! administrator interface will display a small icon in the top right. It will blink to let you know that a new Joomla! Version is available for you to download from http://www.joomla.org/download.html

Currently only works with the standard administration template.

v1.2:

* checks to see if the Update Manager http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/core-enhancements/installers/9332 is installed, if that is the case, clicking on the icon will take you to the component's interface.


v1.1:

* fixed error message on uninstall that the xml-file could not be deleted (even if it was deleted).
* fixed error on detecting version x.x.9 as lower than x.x.10
