I tried this and it is just what I needed. I wish it could have more development.
My wish list would include the ability to reset hit counters from the Control Panel using the FL Popular Items module. Also, and this is the most important, a method to show only select sections and or / categories through a menu on the Control Menu with totals for each.
I would actually pay a small fee for this module with the added features. Managing a site with possibly 3,000 articles, or more, would make the updated module invaluable.
