Worked just as described, I wanted to utilise the banners component and this integrated perfectly. I hope to see a J1.7 version and packaged with a plugin so that I can place it within the content.

I needed a non-flash banner effect for a client who wants compatibility on iPad so I tried about a dozen extensions. Had conflicts with most; several couldn't get to work. This one was easy to set up. Fast loading. Using new BETA version 2.2 and testing so far shows it records clicks accurately. Love ProJoom Multi Rotator but this is perfect if you need a nice fade effect without Flash for iPad users.

It's a good extension. And it works as it should, BUT how does this extension work with the impressions counter and the click URL of the core banner manager? I could not found out how to make it work. Whithout this drawbacks it would be an excellent extension!!

Good module but it doesn't count clicks.

First of all this is a great module, centering works within the box (so you have to type in the width and height of your module position and !not the original image size!)

But my question is how does this work together with the impressions count of the core banner manger??? I know there is an option called "TRACK BANNER IMPRESSION LABEL" but what does this mean? Does each site impression mean that each banner get one more impression? Or how does this work?

Finally a banner module that isn't just a pointer to an image directory where you have to add URLs and image locations. This integrates perfectly with the Joomla Banner component, supports Categories, client IDs, Banner IDs, and more. I love the effects too. I wish it had a random effect option. I have tried them all, but this by far is the best. Works with every browsers (tested many times).

This banner module is really simple to set up and looks good about from one thing - the images aren't centered in either Firefox or IE and I can't see a way of contacting the developer about it.

If it wasn't for that I would give it a rating of excellent!

I tested three banner modules before this one and like everything in life, if at first you don't succeed, try, try again!

I am really glad a I persevered as none of the other modules would work properly in both Firefox and Internet Explorer, let alone Opera, Safari et al.

Very easy to configure and you can assign banner, category or client id's which makes it extremely flexible. You can change to fade effect or you can have the banners scroll up, down, to the left or the right, making it even more versatile.

An excellent way to advertise client websites and services without refreshing the page!

Great job by the coder! A very satisfied designer and the client is over the moon! And it's FREE!

This sort of works for IE8. It depends on how the module is laid out. Some of mine work and others I had to turn off. I'm not an expert so I can't tell you why some work and some don't but i suggest moving on unless this gets updated soon.

I just tried this extension, and like it.

It works well in IE 8 for me. Previous note indicate it doesn't.

I'd love to give this a 5 star review but unfortunately it doesn't work in IE8. It's a simple and easy to use module but the rotating banners don't even show up in IE8. Everything is fine in Firefox, Safari and IE7. Also, there doesn't seem to be anyway to get in contact with the developer. There is no documentation or forum and when I tried emailing the developer I got a "Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently" message.

A simple but effective module. Good job. I have a couple of questions, but can't find how to contact the developer. If the support is there, this could be an Excellent!

PROS:
Easy to configure.

Excellent module for rotating through images. I use the banner id parameter to cycle through image compositions I designed with photoshop.

Advertisements, Announcements, article highlights, whatever . . . . it's perfect.

My clients love it too for their own efforts too.

I TRIED WHAT SEEMED LIKE 2-DOZEN IMAGE ROTATORS, FALSELY CLAIMING TO DO JUST WHAT BANNER_SLIDER DOES DO. SO THANKS!

CONS:
Needs an intuitive configuration parameter for linking banners to their respective url links.

Great Work! Had bene trying to get the banner module to work properly for ages, downloaded Banner Slider to use with TradeDoubler code, and after a bit of messing around got it to work; for muppets like me, remember to use the N° Id's in the Joomla Banner Component to define which banners to show in the Banner Slider...

Great module! Very easy to install and adjust. This is the only free sliding banner module that I have found, that does exactly what it states, without any problem. One of the best modules for Joomla in my opinion. Thank you very much!

This is very nice. Only suggestion would be for the component to encode ampersands in URLs properly: & becomes '&a.mp;' (I added the period.) Right now the resulting code is invalid if the banner is linked to story in Joomla.

But this is VERY nice, VERY light. Good work!
