Both, the plugin and the module come with full support for DoubleClick for Publishers page-level attributes that influence ad selection, AdSense parameters passed to the current page and AdSense parameters passed to the current slot.
New in Version 1.1.0:
- support for multiple Publisher-IDs
DoubleClick for Publishers offers the possibility to use multiple Publisher-IDs on a page and doing so show Ads from different Publishers that make use of DoubleClick for Publishers. If you use DoubleClick for Publishers to organize and display Google AdSense, Ads from Affiliate Networks and direct sold Ads, this feature will not be of interest for you.
It is of importance e.g. if you don´t use DoubleClick for Publishers yourself but want to show Ads on your pages, you get from different People (or companies) that make use of DoubleClick for Publishers.
I don´t want to let unmentioned, that this feature is described as a workaround with the potential to create problems by Google (in the Google Ad Manager support forum).
As it is my goal to reproduce to complete functionality DoubleClick for Publishers offers with this extension, I add the feature anyway.
How to use it, is described in the HowTo´s.
New in Version 1.0.0 (2009-01-15):
- adopt the - updated by Google - initial Script-Tags which now pass W3C-Validation
- remove the surrounding DIV-Tag (class "begam") because Google uses Identities for its AdSlots
Installed and up and working within 15 mins. Nice job, of course at first I thought it wasn't till I read that google needs to index your site first but 5 mins later the ads showed up.
After some trial and error with the instructions, it worked perfectly. Many of the other Joomla AdSense extensions were not working with my site for some reason. This works pretty good.
Remember, ads don't show up until Google indexes you!

Having used google admanager for delivery of all our ads I was looking for a plug in which gave flexibility to place different google ads on different pages, etc.
The installation process was simple and I have now succesfully deployed on two different sites with no issues or problems.
The best thing about this is you have total flexibility over where and how you display ads in an article using the plug in. The module is great for placing ads in different sections and regions.
