This allows OpenX ADs to be delivered directly into the top (left or right) of Joomla content (no need to use tag). Use OpenX AD system to control how and when ADs appear (contextual, URL based) in concurrence with the plug-in parameters you set.
This has the same features as the OpenX Article Module with two additional parameters:
- Choose AD to appear LEFT or RIGHT at the top of content
- Choose not to have the plug in active by setting category ID (comma separate for multiple) to not have them appear in un-catagorized pages set to 0
After installing, publish plug-in, choose your parameter options and add your OpenX Ad system settings.
Like the guy below me said, You should be able to add this to the article, section you want not blanket the entire category.
This would be a great plugin.... if it only worked correctly. In the Exclude Categories, I typed in all the categories that I wanted to exclude.... No luck... AD's show up on all my pages! (I'm using 1.5.14)
Problem with "Exclude Categories" I have about 70 categories, and yes I have to type in every number, and if I add new categories..... well you get the picture. The solution is, use the catid, and have a drop down menu, and allow me to select the category that I want to display the AD's in.
Problem: This is a "Plugin" not a Module... Because it is a plugin, I can not reuse this to make different zones. If this was a Module, I can copy, edit, and reuse for different zones. Needs to be a module.
Big Problem: In my news section.... I have so many articles on the page with read more buttons. When I use this package, and then click on the "News Section" 20 articles appear, and my 20 "read more" buttons appear... And 20 AD's appear on the page..... Looks unprofessional.
Solution: Have the option for the AD to appear under the tag called "" that way only the AD's will show up when some one opens a article.
I love the idea for articles, and wish I could use this package.... But as it is now.... No good. Sorry to give such a poor rating. Would love to hear from the Developer.
