DS Banner Slider Popular Module

Joomla - DS Banner Slider, Scroll your banner! So why do we need to create another banner slider, well we know there's just so many banner slider out there that can do the tricks for you, but sometimes we would just love to use the banner component as a purpose of slideshow for simple use of unlink slideshow. Don't get me wrong on this, this banner is as powerful as a lot of slider out there. For example there's just endless parameter you can setup upon the back-end panel.

Here's the list
Enable to multi-select Banner Clients in Selection Box
Enable to Set banner Limit
Enable to multi-select Banner Categories in Selection Box
Enable to select banner ordering

Enable to set Unique id for each banner, multi banner sliders on 1 page.

Enable to Hide/Show Banner Description
Enable to Change Description Font Color
Enable to Change Font Size
Enable to Position the Description Text
Enable to do Text Align

Enable to Hide/Show Banner Control
Enable to Hide/Show Previous and Next Button
Enable to Hide/Show First and Last Button
Enable to Hide/Show Number Indexing
Enable to Hide/Show Start and Stop Button

Enable to disable all banner links incase of slideshow purpose only.

This module was inspire by open-lab:Matteo Bicocchi, special thanks for his jquery mb.scrollable plugin, we had modify his code a bit and transform it into joomla modules.

After reading all the good reviews I tried the module, trying to configure 2 images with different sizes impossible! Why do I have to set a size for images?

Resuming, you have to make all images equal size if not this module will resize them and make them look ugly.

Useless

This is a great banner slide. I have looked for three days now, including commercial modules. This is the best so far. The only problem I had was the images keep overlapping when they scroll. It took me several days, and hours to fix this problem. Solution: in the ds_module_banner php file, remove this line: width: , in the DS Banner Slide Rotator" Module section. Apart from this problem, it should be a 5 star module

I almost did not install this module because of previous comments regarding its cross browser functionality. Well I tested it and it is working in FF, Chrome and FF.

I found it easy to set up and configure. Thank you to the makers.

Hi!
Thanks for this module, it's pretty cool, but I hawe a little problem with it. The module doesn't works(the picture is OK; no rotating) in the main page, and thoose pages witch alignment or tipe is the same. I disabled all other modules on the page, maybe that is the problem but no, it doesn't rotate.

Pity there's no Chrome browser functionality here yet, but a very good and easy extension to set up. Once I set the specific height of my banner images in the parameters, IE worked a treat.

Chrome, Chrome, Chrome...

I really like this banner slider. I am using it for my law firms website to slide images and a description that correspond to individual practice areas of our firm.

Things I like:

- very customizable
- easy to tweak
- easy install
- easy to figure out

To the author:

The reason I knocked off 1 star is because there are a few bugs that need to be fixed:

1. The description padding does not work because in the main php file you accidentally repeated one of the padding settings over and over. The result is that the top padding setting sets the padding for left, bottom, and right, as well. I was able to fix this rather easily, but it took me awhile to realize what was wrong.

2. When the banner images order is set to randomize, the numbers in the control don't work.

3. The previous control always takes me all the way back to the first image, instead of just taking me back one image.

Other than the above bugs, this module is perfect.

A very good, almost excellent module!! I wil give my 5 stars if this module also would count the impressions and the click-through.

But for all the rest is it an outstanding module.

I like this module, but I am having a problem when I want to use it twice on the same page. I want to have a banner in the footer left and one in the footer right but then it's giving me an error.

I had write an installation document on this.
Please take a look at this link.

For multi banner spot, you will need to set a different ID to the banner.

Because of this. I got a 2 star for it? :-(
Also on my site, I got a forum which you can submit you error and question so I can help you with.
But I didn't see your submission to this.

Good module but it doesn't work with IE (any version)... Someone could help me?
Thanx a lot.

PS: (for Firefox) the module is very good ;)

Hi there,
For the banner slider to work properly on IE, you will need to enter the exact height.

If you do have any question or problem with the module please leave a support message or post on my forum.

Exactly what I've been looking for. Easy to install, very easy to setup. Love the way that I can hide or show the controls. Actually I don't use it for banners but as a slideshow for products of a website. Thanks for the great work!
