Does what it says, very simply.

As improvement, I would like to allow _blank linking to other websites (thru the module to allow specific config for each module)

Mail system to admin and/or client (related to CB for example ;) ) to warn the end of publishing.
Or a way to assign a banner to a joomla ID account, allowing him to see the number of clics for each of his banner...

This is a fantastic component. Very easy for me to install. The module enabled me to display banners exactly where I needed them. The only problem for me is that I could not find an option for opening a new window (”_blank”) when banner is clicked.
I've added to my favorites in the hope that "_blank" option will be available in the future.

Although it lacks some features, as I was looking to display MULTPLE banners but wanted to make sure if eg. there are 5 of them, they dont show a banner more than once at the same time.

But.. back to this component,

A) it does exactly what the developer promised it would
B) yes it is basic, but all you need and eliminates any risk of compatibility issues with browsers, servers etc
C) it works and it works and it works, it is so good to test component that works 100%

I needed a component that would display multiple banners on one page. This is it. It was easy to setup and to tweak a bit. There are a few things I'd like to see:

1. able to select banner images via dropdown from the banners dir
2. pagination if there are more then x-number of banners (admin should be able to select the number).
3. set dates via calendar
4. ability to enter intro text other then hard coding it in the template file.

It's essential and it does what I needed, just a simple column banners page of friend's sites.
It's native and it works, for me, that's all.
Just a few suggestions for future improvements:
1) Sometimes (i.e. friend's banners) you don't need to have an "expire date", default date 0000-00-00 should simply show banners not exclude them.
2) Possibility to manage banners order (important).

It is too simple. It have not a Category.
Only one benefit is expire date system.

This one has a future! I wanted to do a simple thing and that's just what this com-mod does.
No fancy gui, no useless options. Keep it simple!

Despite some difficulties in the installation process, the component works right.
It has fewer features that artbanner plus but is fully compatible with the joomla 1.5.
