This was very easy to install and implement. The only thing I wish this had would be to count the impressions, and not just the clicks.
Owner's reply

Hello jrthor2, Interdesigns Slider already counts both impressions and clicks. when the banner is view the banner impression is incremented and when it is click number of clicks and ratio also count this. please check it back again.

Thank you very much for this great module.

I tried to add handlers to the slider. It seems that if you click during the slide, the slider stops working for a moment ...

Subsidiary question: do you think it's possible to get something like fnac.com (number color changing with images)?

Thank you for all.

Best regards,

Cédric
Owner's reply

Thanks Cédric, yes it is possible and easy also, all you have to do is to add the hover state and active class properties to you template css. e.g

#handles span.active, #handles span:hover {
background:#000000 none repeat scroll 0 0;
color:#FFFFFF;
}

Thanks Ahmed for letting us use this extension for free. I have tried many others. This is by far the best one. More than that, Ahmed also gave me suggestions for a small adaptation.

Yes, I do owe Ahmed a beer too.

Thanks Ahmed.

Ahmed, I owe you a drink ;o) Thank you very much for this contribution to the Joomla society.

This module is simply great, does as described.

It is capable of using the banner links themself from Joomla´s original bannersystem.

The transition effect is really nice.

I have done a quick test in IE7, IE8, FireFox and Google Chrome and so far it seems to work ok.

I would easily have paid money for this extension, thank you very much for making it non-commercial.

Has 'Custom' setting for those of us who use their affiliates custom code in Joomlas Banner component.

Plenty of extra settings for altering the display, but works without reconfiguring them.

I'm so pleased with this extension. Many modules talk about "banners" but don't usually allow you to include complete banner code nor use the joomla banner system. I needed something that would not force me to take apart my banner code, so this works perfectly! I would have paid a small price for it, but thanks for making it free!!!

you are welcome anytime "bonhommie".

I came to this module after many searches and trials of other banner rotators/sliders. 'It does exactly what it says on the tin'. The only problem I had was rotating flash swfs but that was due to my own ignorance (in the banner section of joomla use the 'custom code' and place in the html code you would normally use for a flash - then in the Interdesigns Slider module choose 'custom code' in the parameters)

A quick email to Ahmed brought an even quicker reply telling me how to do this.

I have since discovered that while this shows well in I.E. and Google Chrome, the vertical scrolling of these flash ads doesn't show properly in Firefox (3.5.3)(mask does not work) But again this may be because I have to tweak something to do and I'm sure Ahmed will highlight my ignorance yet again and tell me to fiddle with some parameter to get this to work.

So my advise here is; if you are looking for a rotating/sliding banner module START HERE with this one - it will save you time. But make sure to check out the results in ALL browsers before you commit to a live site.

Thanks again Ahmed for a great module - keep up the good work.

I wasn't sure about downloading this, because there weren't many reviews. But I gave it a try anyway. I'm happy I did. It was the third extension I was downloaded and after not getting what I wanted from the other's, I was hoping this one would do what I was looking for. It was set up and running on my site within 1 minute. Simple to use and does just what they say it will. Easy to configure as well. Thanks!

This module can display centered. I reluctantly gave up on Banners Slider because it didn't, so I was very glad to find this other banner sliding module.

This module also has some cool transition effects. Unfortunately, it does not offer a simple fade in and out, just horizontal or vertical sliding from banner to banner (with effects like bouncing).

Thanks for this module.
