Came to this when a commercial equivalent went out of license period, and was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to set up - and it works perfectly!

A great way to show your banners on your site!

Works great, thank you so much. The only other feature I might like to see is to be able to set the delay between the transitions I may have over looked it though I just started playing with it...

I should rank it Excellent. It did what I was trying to find out by experimenting different modules at least for 2 hours. I could easily integrate this module with core Joomla Banner Component Category. Thanks.

I love it. It's simple to set up and works effortlessly. The only reason I didn't give it "Excellent" is because at the end it flicks back through all the banners to get to the first again and it would be nice if we could set "no follow" as a URL attribute. Otherwise brilliant module for all your banner adverts

I am very pleased with this module. It is great if you have a lot of banners you need to display with limited space. Or if you web viewers tend to stick around on a single page for a long time.

I ran into two minor issues. I could not get the handlers or arrow buttons to work. Honestly, didn't try that hard to get them working though. But I did use the code provided and nothing showed up. Meh, no real biggie for me.

My other issue was a little bigger. I wanted to display both image and custom code banners in the same slider module. I cannot find a way to do this with the module. A shame, and I hope the developer adds this option in the future.

All around though, you cannot beat this module for its simplicity and price! FREE.

For those of us who really struggle with extensions no matter how many we install it would have been great to say go to modules to implement. I couldn't figure out why it wasn't under components. Anyway once I figured it out it was all that it promised. Worked very easily and looks great. One question, I created a category to read a set of banners. I placed the name in the parameters called category but when I did that none of the banners showed up. Is there a way to only read a set of banners instead of all the banners in system?

This is a nice easy way to display banners. It's just a shame that the author has not developed it further. If wipes and fades were implemented in this module it would really be a super banner solution.

The lack of fade effects is the only reason I dropped a star. Even though it is an extremely useful inclusion, in its current form.

As a relative new comer to Joomla I have been focusing on the functionality of my site rather than making it "pretty" this module helps to add life to the page and is very easy to install.

I did get stuck but looked at the sample on this site and used the same config and had it working.

this is a pretty nice module,
many customization options, yet simple to put it to work with some nice transition effects.

I had some compatibility issues, contacted the author, and although it was holiday period :p, the problem was promptly fixed (turned out to be a config option).

keep up the good work!

Thank You Ahmed,
good quality slider that works and doesn't tie you up with flash loaders.

it would be nice if it didn't flick back to the start of the list every time though.

still, cant wait for the next version.

thanks a lot PeteyW, the next version will be available soon.

The module is really great.
Simple and very nice output.

Just wanted to ask why there is a restriction on "Display only" which forces you to pick either an image to display or code. Would be sweet if both could be active ...but maybe Ahmed can tell us why there had to be a separation ?

Many thanks again !!!

thanks michalip, it will be considered in the next version.

Thank you for letting us use this very nice extension. I have one little problem though:
when a banner has an empty URL, idslider still gives you the possibility to click on it. The result is that after you click it, a new blank page opens up. This is not happening when I use the same banner in the standard Joomla mod_banners component. Is it possible for you to change this behaviour, so that you cannot click an image in mod_idslider when the URL of that banner is empty?
I'm using Interdesigns Slider for Joomla v1.5 version 1.1.0.

Thanks a lot!
