It's a classified ads extension with a basic feature set. It is NOT a content construction set (CCK).
Marketplace is free and I mean completely free. No paid modules, language packs or whatever.
Just go and check it out :-)
Marketplace 2.3 is available for Joomla! 2.5 (and Joomla! 1.7) only.
Some of the features of Marketplace:
- Joomla! 2.5 (and J1.7) only!
- RSS Feed for new entries in all categories
- RSS Feed for new entries in a specific category
- Up to 10 images per entry. Configurable in the Marketplace backend.
- Slimbox integration.
- User manager for some user specific settings ( e.g. block user).
- Moderators
- Multiple languages. English, German, Italian, Persian, Portuguese and Russian in core distribution.
- Mark entries "featured", "top" and "commercial".
- Configure duration of entries.
- Users can edit/delete their own entries.
- Users can republish their own entries.
- Support for Primezilla Private Messaging.
- Show user avatars from Discussions forum extension.
- Basic ACL support: Configure/Access component.

Terrific extension...easy to use for a very green newbie, too. I'm using Joomla! 2.5, and it works just great. Fast, effortless install, lots of options, easy to use backend. Though codingfish does not provide official support, he was EXTREMELY helpful when I contacted him -- fastest response from any extension provider I've ever used! Very valuable extension...SO glad I have it :)
This is one of the best 1.7 classified systems out there. Out of the box it works great. The fact it can integrate with it's own PM software is really nice. The one thing I'd suggest is having a Save & New feature for creating multiple categories / subcategories in a row. Other than that, LOVE IT!!
