I had to hack the component a little to customize the layout and remove some of the bells and whistles. The code is extremely clear and well-structured and is clearly made by real professionals. For most of the hacks I just had to make a copy of an existing theme and modify it.

This is one of the best Joomla components I've dealt with.

I had a few pre-purchase questions that the Stackideas team were more than happy to answer, and with a really quick response time!

The extension is great and was really easy for me to strip down and get it looking like my own.

Usually when you download a program your on your own to figure it out or you have to spend hours and days on a forum getting help from less then expectable sources.

THAT IS NOT THE CASE WITH EASY BLOG. I purchased this 2 days ago and I already have it installed with all the settings configured the way I want them. It was super easy to install just click the mouse button and let it do its thing.

I had one minor issue and that was because of the Joomla template theme I am using was displaying a word button link for Easy Blog that I did not want. I posted on the forums and EasyBlog Support/Staff got right on issue. Not only did they walk me through on how to fix it they also offered to fix it for me.

That goes a long way with me. I actually felt Easy Blog Staff appreciated my business, & that is very rare nowadays.

Thank you very much EasyBlog Staff you are top notch in my book and alot of other companies and coders could learn from you.

Okay, so first of all, the component is absolutely the best blogging tool for Joomla available at the moment. I can't really fault it at all.

The main reason why this is a 5 star review is that the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. I've just had a support query on the forum answered within a few hours on a WEEKEND. That's how dedicated these guys are.

I am fairly new to Joomla, EasyBlog and all of its components so I needed a lot of help - and boy did I get it. Sam went way beyond what I could have ever hoped for in a support person. He solved issues for me which were well past just EasyBlog issues. I cannot recommend the product and the support enough. Thank you, thank you.

I run this on my game review website and it works great! I had an issue with phpBB avatar integration but the helpful staff resolved that problem. Other than some css tweaks to make it look good on my dark theme, I'm very glad I bought this software.

This was the easiest component I have ever had to load. It works seamlessly, perfect, fantastic, top marks and well done. phew!!

I was pleasantly surprised when I had installed the blog because it contained a Danish translation. There were a few translation errors and problems with a popup window.
But their suppurt is very competent and abnormally fast, has never experienced such excellent support.
Actual administration and setup of the blog is easy and intuitive.

Echoing all the other great reviews, this component is fantastic and the support is just amazing. There are some J! companies that I've dealt with that offer superb support, always good-natured, patient and quick... NinjaForge, NoNumber, Akeeba for example... so now add StackIdeas to that group.

I just have to add my support to the chorus. Very transparent, easy to use extension. Unparalleled support (from Sam). Expensive but worth it IMO

Cons:
The only time I had a problem with easyblog was the installation part. It only works if I upload the file in the /tmp dir extract it there, then installation works.
Pros:
In my opinion this is the best blog tool available for Joomla. Rather than cobbling together templates, extensions, modules, etc. to come up with a blog site. Easyblog has done all of that for me. Worth every penny!

It was definitely worth a few extra bucks for the Easy Blog support plan. I had trouble intalling the package and submitted a ticket to their support. Within a few minutes Jack Nic from support replied, logged into my site, manually installed and tested the Easy Blog software.

By far the best support experience I've had in years! Way to go Jack and the team at Easy Blog!

After months of searching through Joomla extensions and even resorting to trying to create a blog myself for my own website, I finally found EasyBlog! I highly recommend this component!

I'll be the first to admit that I try to find the most affordable (preferablly free) solutions, however some things you just can't skimp on.

After working with WordPress blogs, I was so very disappointed when I tried adding a blog to my joomla website with the choices I had. I discovered that there were not many choices available and those I found were very complicated in configuring them. Once configured, after many wasted hours, they were just plain sad in appearance.

The EasyBlog install was very simple and customer services is incredible! All my questions were answered very quickly! (I like that!) I highly recommend EasyBlog so much I signed up to become an affiliate! It is definitely worth the money. For a few dollars, you get much fewer headaches and a professional blog for your website!

I recently purchased EasyBlog and suffered a javascript error from a conflict with Tiny Mce Advanced settings. I contacted support and they immediately contacted me for login details to sort the problem out - which they did immediately.

Not only is the product extremely good value for money packed with features not found in other comparable products, but the level of support set a standard for others to follow.

If you are considering buying a blog package, I for one would recommend EasyBlog.

I have used the product for a few weeks now. Functionality is great. It is very easy to get up and running. The service has been outstanding. All my issues have been addressed with incredible speed. I would highly recommend this plugin.

When I needed a blogging application, I used to install Wordpress into my websites. Now that I have tested and used the EasyBlog component, it has replaced my Wordpress application and everything now stays within the Joomla! environment.
I have this blog running on my Woodlands Ad Agency website with Twitter, Facebook, and Feedburner integration turned on and it couldn't be any easier. If you have any needs for blogging - EasyBlog is one of the best blogging applications to date!

After downloading easyblog I couldn't get it to install. It seems that to apache servers had control over the directory rights. Easyblog support helped me to install the module. Great support really fantastic. Now it works great, easyblog is really easy to use.

First let me tell you I was looking high and low for a free blog offering. I even tried one but it was not very user friendly nor did it have many features.

I really like Joomla but the blogging capabilities are lacking. I needed a solution and Wordpress was not an option.

I decided after months of research to go with Easy Blog. I figured for the nominal fee if it didn't work at least I was not out a lot of funds....

Well I bought and installed it. It seemed to work right out of the box but then I had some frontend editor issues. I was trying to get an autosave feature installed through a new editor and that's when I noticed the problem. I filled out a support ticket and in no time I was in communication with the company and in less than 12 hours it was fixed.... and it was not really an Easyblog issue but then fixed it for me and told me exactly what they fixed and how they fixed it so for future upgrades I can modify the necessary files myself!

Awesome support and great feature filled extension!

My first email went missing, but when I contacted them again two days later, I had a response within an hour. Being new to joomla and website building in general, I was struggling to get it up and running.
Well, within a few hours they had answered so many of my questions, fixed my stuff ups, got it running beautifully. When I asked how to change a particular feature, I got a response almost immediately ghat it wasn't a standard option, but that they'd gone in and altered it specially.

So impressed, it's doing exactly what I wanted, and the support is brilliant.
