This component (with modules and plugins) is simply outstanding and does everything it advertises and more.
Not a single problem with installation and what could have been a complex bit of software has been really been simplified by careful design and planning.
The company is professional and efficient and included me in their special offer, which would not have been necessary.
Perhaps a PDF-format manual could be made available as this would help reading up on technical how-to's.
Thank you very much for the warm feedbacks!
They do their best, open-minded, and deserves more than a thank you.
EasyBlog is a perfect joomla component, it has everything you need, you wil never have to install extra plugins to have a perfect layout. All in one and perfectly tuned.
Moreover, solid and continuously developing
Thank you StackIdeas
Thank you for your feedbacks!
We have easily integrated it with JomSocial. Nice templates out of the box and easy to adjust if someone has other preferences. We are quite well oriented in working with Joomla! stuff, but no programmers, which didn't matter at all.
The support is really, really great. Fast, accurate and nice people that should set example for some others.
Highly recommended and worth every penny!
Thank you very much for your honest feedbacks!
And unlike Azrul, these guys stand behind their product and offer great personal tech support. Good job guys you have an awesome product!
Thanks spike! It was our honor to have you use EasyBlog on all your sites! I am also amazed at how Joomla works nicely for your site :)
There are many Options in the backend to customize. And if there's anything that doesn't have an option, it's just as easy to customize the themes as it is to customize joomla article-views. There are many great modules that come with the component - just as featured articles-slider e.t.c.
After installing (J15) everything worked very fine - only the tag-feature didn't. So I contacted the support and they immediandly responsed to me (on a sunday petecust!) and worked on solving the issue. A great support like that is rare and great.
highly recommended as there is no comparative blog-system available for Joomla
PS: A future-request would be that one can add multiple blogs (for example different blogs for different languages and different categories and conent).
Also there could be more languages available or at least a backend-language-file-access as I couldn't find a german translation anywhere.
Thank you! Flattr is something new and we're actually looking at their API :)
I can absolutly suggest it! Thank you!
Thank you for your feedbacks! :)
I did have an issue with it not showing modules on the blog page, but their support jumped right on it and fixed it even though the problem was related to an issue with another component on my site. They happily and quickly made the fix for me.
Whether you are using this as a single blogger or multiple, this is absolutely the very best that it out there.
Thank you! Sometimes, there could be some issues with different hosting environments. If you do face similar problems, please contact us as we'll perform the installation for you :)
I used to used COrephp Wordpress for Joomla, and got problem after problem. I also found their support to be lacking and so not being an expert and unable to fix the problems myself became frustrated.
I had tried easyblog pre version 2 and liked it but because it couldnt do some of the things I needed (ie single bloggers) I couldnt use it on the site I was developing.
But with frustrations abound and having noticed Easyblog had upgraded to version 2 I had another look..... Boy am I glad.
The component and plugins (for which there are many and I cant see how I can even possibly use them all) installed easily without a hitch.
Using the manual I setup the background stuff just as easily with the exception of a couple of thing I didnt "quite get", but their is a forum for asking questions....right???? Each question was answered by their support staff (Jack or Sam) within a very short space of time and my woes dissappeared.
Talking of support I have found a couple of bugs in the software because of what I was trying to achieve and guess what, they were fixed within hours and were being added to the next upgrade. I also saw a couple of minor tweaks I wouold like done to the components and modules. I simply asked if it were possible and guess what, within hours they were done. Oh and I should say that is JUST using the forum side of things. They also have a ticketing system for support. But they might as well not have it because their support is so good in the forum. I have only ever needed to use it on their instruction so that I could send them a user name and password for my backend of Joomla.
The support for this component is the best I have EVER had bar none, and I dont mean just from Joomla products, I am talking ANY TYPE OF SUPPORT iI have ever used. These guys could shut up shop today and offer their services and know how in support and make themselves a fortune. WHat makes it worse the support guys apologise if they have not dealt contacted you within a few hours. The value of the support OUTWEIGHS HEAVILY the cost of the product itself.
THe product iteself works brilliantly, is simple to setup and easy to maintain.
If you are in need of a blogging system in Joomla LOOK NO FURTHER !!!! This is the one to buy NO DOUBTS !!!
If I could mark this component any higher than Excellent I would without reservation.
Well done guys you are what eveyone else to should aspire to.
Thanks for the honest feedbacks, truly appreciate it!
One of my sites needed to be migrated to Joomla 1.5 and many changes needed to be made. With over 10,000 members and tons of member content, it's been a big job. Almost every piece of software I've integrated has given me grief ~ but not EasyBlog.
I began the rebuild of my site using Wordpress for Joomla and it was giving me way too many errors and support was sparse (although those guys have done great work). After having too many headaches I decided to purchase EasyBlog and give it a shot. I am truly delighted. There have been two slight issues but their tech support is 1st class and fast. Bravo.
Bottom line is - this software is extremely well developed and has all the features I needed. I am impressed and will sleep better tonight knowing my member blogs are in good hands.
I ask if I could have a migrate from wordpress to easyblog, never think they will do.
But Jack and Sam from StackIdeas fix this in a few days and everything is working 100% good.
Support is the best.
Thanks for your help StackIdeas.
Thanks for the feedbacks!
Installation is as easy as it gets. The social network integration is nicely laid out and was easy to set up until it turned out that the Facebook account I was linking to for the customer wasn't their main Facebook page. Support was phenomenal and they added functionality to take this fairly corner case scenario into account very quickly, even going so far as editing the files on the server themselves!
Big thanks to the support team and the dev team for being so responsive.
I'll be buying another license soon for my own site.
Thank you for your honest feedbacks! :)
I liked the easyblog component, it works very well, but it doesn't use the standard Joomla Section/Category jos_content tables, which makes it very clunky.
You can't easily link between articles and blog posts, the image manager function doesn't work the same way..
Its almost like a completely separate website.. if you do everything through easyblog, you'll be find, but if you are trying to mix the two, its a nightmare.
Thank you for your feedbacks and I greatly appreciate your concerns. I have to agree that we don't actually use Joomla tables for storage but it could eventually pose a larger problem having it stored in Joomla's article / category or section tables since there is really no way of manipulating the links in Joomla.
We do actually have a built in article linking between EasyBlog blogs and also Joomla articles. It allows you to search and link articles in EasyBlog easily.
Again, I really appreciate your feedbacks and we will definitely look into a separate storage option.
I did discover one glitch in the program and it was fixed right away. I have no doubt that due to the great attitude of the support staff and the obvious attention to customer service this is a company that will keep improving their existing products until they the the best that they can be.
Thank you for your feedbacks!
Thank you Andy and by the way, your site is looking awesome! :)
Finally I found EasyBlog. EasyBlog was like a breath of fresh air. It had everything I wanted and more. Most importantly, it was easy to install, configure and use. I didn’t have to download it and then waste time searching for add-ons from other developers, and then waste time trying to find which of those add-ons worked well with everything else I had going on inside my site.
EasyBlog integrated seamlessly within my site and has its own image browser and commenting system.
Given the complexity of my site I needed some cosmetic things done after my install and their tech support really stepped up in helping me to reach my goals. I highly recommend it for anyone using Joomla and especially as a replacement for Azrul’s My Blog. It is simply the best blogging system for Joomla.
Thank you for your feedbacks!
I was using MyBlog for some time, but always ran into roadblocks with the inability to upload photos, or use any editor I wanted.
I took a chance with EasyBlog out of pure frustration, and am so happy for this choice.
Everything out of the box worked as I had hoped, and it was very easy to edit the CSS to match my sites themes.
I did have one major issue with EasyBlog creating separate articles that would not lead back to the blog with a readmore or title link.
I went to the support forum expecting to not get an answer anytime soon, as I have with so many other extensions.
My forum post was answered within a few hours, and Jack hacked the code some to fit me needs.
He assured me this would be fixed in the next update and that I would not need to do anymore hacking in the future.
Now my site is working exactly as it should, with a much easier solution for my customer.
I will be using EasyBlog on all of my sites, and replacing MyBlog on all of my past customers sites.
Thank You Slack Ideas, Jack, and EasyBlog for taking care of your customers needs quickly and efficiently.
Thanks, our goal is to listen :)
