I have tried all the blog solutions for Joomla. I have spent so many hours trying to get the other, sub-par blog components to work right.

I should have just got Easyblog from the start. It is so polished, so feature rich, and so easy to style.

This component could be a standalone blog CMS and would be right up there with the best blog systems on the market today. Don't waste time trying the other blog components for Joomla - just get this one.

I would never normally bother writing a review for any product but I've been so impressed with the level of support and assistance from the team with this one it seemed unfair not to recognise it.

After having issues with the payment gateway, and needing to get the component installed quickly so I could complete work, the team at Stack Ideas emailed me the software and got me setup while the problems were being solved.

My support requests were answered quickly and I am more than happy with the help provided.

The component delivers everything I was hoping it would. I looked at several other options and none of them gave me the facilities this one did.

You can't get better than this. A great extension with bulletproof support. When I did have an integration issue, the developers checked my code for issues, made changes to correct the problems, responded with a detailed changelog to their own .css files (necessary to integrate with my template choices) so that I could propagate those changes to additional styles when required. Above and beyond the call of duty. Great service!

Good component for blogging -- as easy as its name! Support in their forum is fast and helpful too. SEO must be good because on our first posts appeared in the #2 position on Google within about 2 days.

If I can give 10 stars I will give for this component and support. It is something more than blog. Very quality and professional work. Full recommend.

After trying several free blog tools and even paying for MyBlog (like somebody else said) I realized all lacked the features I required and support was non-existent. I broke down and tried Easy Blog. I wish I had done so sooner!
I cannot say enough about this extension and the support team! The install is easy and it has a ton of features for integration with Twitter (like sending automatic tweets of your blog) Facebook, AddThis, Google Adsense integration and also works great with JomSocial. It has it's own slick comment system (with optional recapture) built in but also integrates with others like Jcomment and Jomcomment. Using the JCE editor also is very nice for my bloggers. (over TinyMCE)
This blogging tool is also highly customizable to do pretty much everything you need. Unlike other tools I tried, there are a ton of modules (all free) for almost anything and since they are module based you place anywhere you want on any page, but also you don't need to load extra "fluff" modules you aren't going to use.
Another great feature is the ACL - you can totally control what all built in Joomla! groups can and can't do. (like 19 or so settings for each group)
It also has a very nice image uploader that actually uploads images to your bloggers folder and allows great image tagging! This is a huge plus for me and is very easy to use.
Several really nice templates that will fit with any existing site look too. I'm using a Rocket Theme and Easy Blog integrated beautifully.
The support is responsive, knowledgeable, very friendly and helped with any issue I had very quickly. The year support contract is well worth the small price.
These are just a few things I love about this extension. Like I said - if you want a Blogging solution for Joomla! stop looking and try this one out, you will not regret it.

I got this Extension and am delighted with it. It is very easy to install. The code is very clean. The blog works perfectly. And a request for a small modification of a couple of modules was responded to within a day! Well done for a great product.

I am modifying easyblog for my requirements, and i can say that its is fantastic. Really a good work guys! Only one thing is that miss italian Language, and so im translating all words!!! Ufff!!! At the end of my work, i can to put on hand the Italian Traduction for who needs it. Ciao!

EasyBlog will take your site and turn it into a blogging portal. Your visitors can sign up and post blogs of their own if you like. You can change a lot of things in the options and set it to integrate with a lot of things too.

It migrates from Joomla articles and from SmartBlog and will integrate with CB and JomSocial and some different comment systems. It also has integration for Twitter with Bit.ly URLs, TweetMeme, Facebook, Google Buzz, Feedburner, Sharethis and Addthis. You also can set it to use avatars from other systems.

It also can even be hooked to post a tweet on Twitter automatically when you blog so you can not have to worry about doing that yourself.

Visitors can subscribe to posts, categories, or even specific bloggers which is pretty cool.

I have used a lot of extensions for Joomla, and a lot of software in general. Maybe it's because I am a PHP developer who has loved Joomla for a long time, maybe its because I just have bad luck. But I tend to find bugs in everything. However, with EasyBlog I didn't have this problem. It was stable, reliable, and just worked. I am actually really impressed. They have clearly done a lot of work on this system.

The only thing I had a slight problem with was the new slow loading speed and size of page loads but once I tweaked the header image in the default EasyBlog theme and removed my extra jquery lib from loading from some other extension and moved all the extra junk I had loading in unrelated modules on the side of the page load times were much quicker again. Hardly the fault of EasyBlog. I should not put so much stuff on one page to begin with.

Another good thing is that when you buy EasyBlog you will be able to use it on unlimited websites. They will even install it for you on the first one. Then they give you a years support.

I never really blogged much before but now that it is easier and works the way it should it actually makes me want to blog. I think I will have to go blog some more about something right now.

Works great and excellent support. I had a minor issue, and the developer was super-quick and super-responsive. Keep up the great work!

I needed a blogging component for JomSocial socionet sites, and did a review of what was available. This one rated very high--but I was concerned about cost and real JomSocial integration. I went with MyBlog--and after weeks of headaches with CSS, JomComment integration and functionality problems broke down and subscribed to EasyBlog.

I sure wish that I had done that in the beginning. There is no issue at all with JS integration. This is a fully featured component that is very user friendly and provides true WYSIWYG editing with your own choice of editor. It has a native comment system, but can be seamlessly integrated with other comment systems such as jComments (for sitewide commenting function). Want to couple to Twitter, Buzz, or Facebook? It's built in. How about social bookmarking features? Already there--take your pick.

The included templates are very attractive out of the box and with a little CSS tweaking can match your site theme perfectly. Works with one blogger--or hundreds each having their own blog head. Support is second to none--Sam even wrote a plugin for me that swept jComment title and comment heads into the activity stream! In 5 years of using J! applications, I cannot think of another app dev group that is this "on the ball" with any level of support.

The only slight downside I can find is that image handling could be improved--and I understand that this is on the project list for future releases. Overall this is the one to go with instead of wasting valuable site development time trying to get freebie or poorly coded solutions to work properly. Three cheers for EasyBlog!

I burned three days trying three free blog extensions - until I recognized that time is money lost. So I subscribed and within a day's effort, had an installed, working blog with test content. That's far more progress than was possible with the other three offerings which all hit issues not resolved via the near dead support services. One question to EasyBlog developers via their website support ticket got a response within one hour (don't they sleep on the other side of the Earth?).

I'm very pleased but can't yet give "perfect" marks. Their website Knowledge Base is empty and their Quick Start Guide doesn't get you much past installation. Folks not familiar with blog technology such as "burn feed", "post trackback", "Permalinks" and tags will be scratching their heads with the settings. But this can be cured by extended documentation and perhaps more contributors to their forum. The additional free related extensions are great.
I'm a retired geologist - not an IT guy - so if I can get it married to my Joomla! site, it must be a cake walk for you geeks. The developers have done a great job - and like all good engineers - have left the docs to the last. I look forward to enhancements.

Easy Blog is an easy extension to install and use. I had a few glitches with the twitter and facebook integrations, but tech support was able to fix or tell me how to fix all problems.
Now my blog is humming along.

This is a terrific alternative to having to reskin a Wordpress blog install along side your Joomla! website. A once of payment of $59 and 15 mins configuration later and you are setup with just about every blogging functionality you would expect from a top of the line blogging platform. Wordpress watchout! :)

I found EasyBlog several months ago, but I didn't want to pay for a blog extension.

So instead, I tried several 'free' blog extensions for my Joomla site. Though a couple had some of the features I wanted, many had no support at all.

I finally broke down and bought EasyBlog. I am now kicking myself that I just didn't buy it from the start.

Very easy to use for us novices. Great support.

What can be better than an amazing component ? An amazing support, this really has been a wonderful acquisition to our site, and the support we received made it even more attractive.

I've been looking for a multi user Blogging system for a community site that I am building and need to be able to let all registered users not only be able to post Blog entries but have their own Blogging area and be able to create their own categories and tags. Well, EasyBlog does this and much more. Users can link their Blogs to their Twitter Accounts with an auto update feature, two positions for users to add Google AdSense ads are also available. These features can be turned on/off in the admin. Permalinks for user blog pages and posts is also great feature. Meta description and tags being able to be added by users for their blog page and posts along with being able to use feed burner as well are just some other features that no blog software should be without. The integrated commenting system with threaded (tree) commenting is great, but not only that you are able to integrate JComments, Intense Debate, Disqus Comment or JomComment gives you the flexibility that you need to get your blog section to fit the rest of your site. Integration with JomSocial is a snap and works perfectly, user avatars on blog posts and comments, a toolbar in JomSocial to be able to go directly to add posts or view blogs. The plugin that I found most interesting is the JomSocial plugin for displaying blog posts on the members profile whereas comments to the post can be added to the post directly from the users profile page. Blog posts are also published in the JomSocial Activity Stream along with a link back to the post. The templates that accompany this component are just beautiful and customizing them to fit your site is very easy if you know a little CSS.I have not used the support forum yet because I have not yet had any problems. I did take a look before writing this post and support seems to be fast and competent. All in All I am very satisfied with this piece of software and have not regretted spending the money. Thanks to the developers for a software that does what it says it does!

I have little or no website development experience, so making even the basic changes to my home business website can be challenging and time consuming.
I'm delighted that after about two days of familiarizing myself with your EasyBlog extension that it now looks and operates as I would have wished for.
