After a trial on Sjeblod CCK and Sobi CCK I am amazed how simple this works! It really was a huge time saver, the only wish I have would have been finding this component much sooner then I did. Don't be put off by the fee for the PRO version, it's well worth saving yourself the time and brain cells. I read that some people have found that support and documentation wasn't that great but it's definitely not my experience. If you are experiencing any problems I'd recommend walking yourself through the DEMO version on the site before anything else. Also don't spend to much time worrying about deleting or overwriting your first template. Just make a copy and save it on your hard drive. Even if you delete it by accident you can recreate it by creating a new default template. The best thing is you don't attach your files to a new category or a component specific layout, no overwriting, no timewasting recreating menu items , just minimal fuss.I love it! Great work!

And if you buy the pro version, you have some incredibly powerful features like the thumbnail management. I could use the thumbs generated by F2C by other modules like Gavicks NewsShow, Filtered News...

Maybe the greatest component created for Joomla. Only one thing missing: Admin and Super Admins should be able to edit all articles using the frontend. But great, great, great. Super easy to use and understand. Now my authors are really willing to send a lot more content to the website.

I have to agree that it took me a while to figure out how to use this component and unfortunately not every little thing is documented, but when I finally found how to use all fields, making my own template was super easy.
I just used the JCE Editor to construct an article exactly as I wanted it to be, copied the htmlcode and then put in the variables for form2content. It works like a charm. Worth the money.

The pro version is expensive but is good. I tried and failed with jseblod. (Couldn't modify the templates as documentation was incomplete.) The templates in Form2Content are fairly easy to master. Also the layout is a lot simpler and easier to understand.

I never write reviews on extensions.joomla.org, but for this component i'll make an exception! I bought the pro version of this component and it's great! You can make really simple content submission forms that everybody can understand! The content submission system from joomla is difficult for people with no knowledge of joomla, but everybody understands a form made with Form2content!
If you need a content submission component, this is the one to BUY! And it's support is great, if you have any questions the development team answers them really quick! Must have for every Joomla user!

Seems to me that with all the form-creation/management extensions out there, there's been little thought given to actually reporting the data in a usable format. I'm talking primarily about the average users and admin of a company intranet based on Joomla! Tried dozens of solutions, most too complicated to implement for non-technical users. Found F2C by way of Fabrik & Fabrik2Article. F2C is a surer and easier way of building the form and collecting the data and it WORKS. I have a lot of things on my wish list, but the developer is very responsive and releases improvements universally that they develop for individuals. To wit, the mail notification plugin, which they helped me customize to my particular application. I look forward to more features, particularly in customizing notification and access. They seem to be aggressive developers. Get the PRO version.

After use DEMO I bought PRO version! It's an excelent! Very usefull! My english is not well, but I understood everything intuitively!
Support is very fast! I asked to add parameter, that allow to add user id into content, and they done it! And today i get a "happy letter":) with upgrade installer!

If I could tell you all in russian, I would be tell about this component more!)))

Almost all of my customers find a way to screw up the content with the wysiwyg editors, with this extension you keep structure in the website!

I purchased this extension for a client. He needed a solution that would allow his clients to enter product information in a form environment, be able to edit their own submitted information, and for the results to be formatted so that they can be printed on a pre-formatted cardstock tag.

This addon allowed me to easily accomplish all of the above without any major hassles. The tech support was great and I felt they really listened to my needs (Patrick).

The plugin does not use the normal article submission process which was a bit of an issue for me since I needed my client to be able to receive email notifications once a form/article is submitted.

Patrick and crew wrote a small plug-in for me that allows email notifications (for free!).

Positives: You can create custom HTML templates for Intro and Mainbody of articles using field tags set in the tool. Very cool. This was used at my site to create a custom catalog of products. It has some advanced rules which make it its own programming tool of sorts. It allowed me to have several different types of products but only one form, with if/then statements in the HTML template.

Negatives: This tool is not super intuitive especially due to the confusing naming of "forms" which are articles and forms are called something else. The other confusing thing is that anything you create must then in turn be pushed to the database as an article and if you make changes you must refresh it. There is no way to copy a "form".

This is one excellent component and by far the most useful one I have ever come across and used. Although Form2Content offers functionality which resembles other form based data entry components, it's unique solution is elegant and yet incredibly powerful. The fact that custom form data is stored in dedicated tables, while at the same time being rendered as regular Joomla! section/category articles using customizable (pat)templates, makes this an extremely versatile extension. Data can be maintained using forms, making it very easy and accessible for site maintainers with little or no Joomla! experience, but at the same time manipulated as regular Joomla! articles, preserving full compatibility with other (third party) extensions.

Although the current product is clearly a first official release with rough edges and room for improvement, it 's already very usable and appears to be quite stable as well. As for being a commercial component: it's usefulness outweighs it's price by far. In addition, support has been above par until now. Questions were answered swiftly and the few problems encountered, were handled quickly and adequately.

In my humble opinion Form2Content is an invaluable and indispensable addition to the standard tool box of every serious Joomla! developer. And no, I'm not a biased acquaintance of OpenSource Design, the manufacturer, but just a well pleased user, who stumbled into Form2Content and wish it had been available a couple of years ago already.
