This system plugin automatically moves, archives or deletes categorized articles controled by the expiration date of any article.
"Expired" articles can be moved into other categories, can be archived or completely deleted, can increase the date of expiration after execution.
Create complex archiving processes by combining functions, parameters and multiple category-IDs.

The concept of using the publish down date to perform the action and then extend the publish down date is brilliant!
For 2 years now I'm moving articles manually from one category to the other, every week. And now it's fully unattended.
Two tips for expanding it's already impressive functionality:
- mechanism to turn off featured flag for an article
- option to finetune extension period in weeks and days
Thanks for this excellent time saver!

I have about 1400 archived articles that displayed in Joomla 1.5 and after upgrading to 1.6 they wouldn't display as they had passed the expiration date. This seemed like the perfect tool to get them to display again, but it set the state to -1 which made them disappear from the backend all together. Though they are still there in the sql database. Uninstalled the plugin, now to work out how to get them back to the unpublished state.
This is an excellent Extension to have a part of the possibilities of a real Online Newspaper.
You have in combination with "JbPublishDownFp" a powerfull instrument to controll your content in a different way.
You can unpublish articles on the frontpage automaticaly (ex. in the "News" Category) and change at the same time the category (ex. in "Older News" Category) of the article.
This gives you more action on the FP and on the other sites. This makes your Webpage more attractive.
PS:
Why do you don't work together with the Coder of "JbPublishDownFp", for a realy cool Extension? ;-)

If this will work with K2 should be perfect for everyone. Thanx and I will wait for next realise.
Pretty nice. This is the first i got to work, but it was complicated to find out what the fields were use to in the start. Maybe a better explanation or some thing like that. Very good plugin!! :D
