Author article - is content item from specific Section/Category(s) with the Title defined as author name. Author description article may be automatically created by the Author Link plugin.
Starting from Joomla 1.5.13 changes in Joomla core are required for this plugin. Visit the Website for details.
Installed on 1.5. This plugin is easy to use and works perfectly once you have understood that a Contact must be created for each user which is author of an article.

I like the concept of linking article authors to their bios in Contacts. However,
my installation gave "Written by Elizabeth Hazel" on an article.
Coders web site says some hacks are required after Joomla 1.5.13

This is exactly what I was looking for!!!
I'm working on the scientific site with a piles of articles and ambitious authors in addition ;) And ability to automatically link author's name to the "Our puper-super scientists" category in a "About Center" section is a pure delight. Thanks! :))
The only thing you should admire: some articles are made in co-authorship. So there can be more than one name in the Author field (separated with comma, for instance). Just think about such an improvement. Good luck!

Co-authorship is supported already. Use comma for authors separation.
