Mehdi's Phpbb THREE bridge

The bridge allow to enable separately visual integration and user integration. Require PHP 5. ||
The bridge is replacement of my older bridge for Phpbb2. Similar logic, but slightly different instructions.
minor "update": finally the patched file for phpbb 3.08 are available. But you could get them before, by following hacking instructions.
We had phpBB integrated in our site in less than 30 minutes!!
Works directly out of the box with no issues at all!
Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully!
One and a half hours later, we had our forum CSS stylized, and now it really looks like I always wanted it to be: a real part of our main site!
Big thanks to the developer! ;)
Went and searched for another and found this. What a relief. Followed the instructions and was up and running in minutes. I must admit that you must follow the instructions to the "T." But the instructions are very detailed.
You just got a donation from me!
For the negative reviews that I read......READ EVERY LINE OF THE INSTRUCTIONS....If you miss one little step, it won't...
Not suggested for beginners but if you are comfortable with file structures you should be ok...You don't need to be a programmer to follow the steps....
All what you have to do is to carefully read and follow the exact instruction on Mehdi's site. Thanks Again
First: I provide "hacked files" only for convenience, but otherwise you have to follow hacking instruction, if the patched files I provide do not match the version of phpbb you want to use. I've just tested with version 3.08, and the bridge works fine (at least for me). Also the patched files for 3.08 are now available, but again you don't have to wait for me to release them; I provide detailed instructions for hacking. Second: I have the regret to say, that I'm skeptical about your use of the words "didn't work" and "bugfixes" in the same sentence. Usually when my bridge doesn't work, you can't fix much thing. I'm thinking of an improper install, as it happens often. I apologize, if the current level of support I provide is limited (busy); but I remain confident concerning the quality of the script I provide.
If you're not familiar with phpMyAdmin, then it's important that you read the installation instructions before you do the actual install, so you have an idea of what you're in for. The instructions are however, quite clear.
After all was said and done, the bridge worked out quite well.
here is how.
If you configured the bridge
with the url :
http://your site.com
then you must access forum from http://your site.com and not http://www.your site.com
Because when you are logged in joomla from http://your site.com, you are not logged when accessing from http://www.your site.com or reverse.
To avoid confusion, you could configure your .htaccess file to force all url to begin with www or not.
Brilliant, thank you!
thanks alot.
Unfortunately, I cannot warrant free support to everyone. I'd like to help everyone . But I receive support requests almost every days, and if I'm busy or just because I have a life, I can skip some of them. I've just found your mail, and the description of your problem , was just too vague anyway.
