Version 1.3.0 is a major update including a lot of new features:
- Joom!fish support

Really cool extension, almost what i needed:-) Looks great and works perfectly. It whas the only use full extension that was free and does what it says.
I did some minor changes to it. Actually i just hided away some features i don't need. Maybe, if you have time, you can implement them as Options:-) I didn't need any templates and the data on section 2 and 3, so i just hided them away. I did hide some other fields to, like end time and place. Just filling them up with default values. The code, with the possibility to give default values to almost all fields is great, thx. The most important change for me was, that registered users need to be able to create venues. I found a solution to that one too. So everythings perfect now.

This is truly an excellent component. Does everything what is says and more. Can easily compete with other commercial extensions in the category. But there is one very important thing missing which is a Paypal integration. Please if possible, I would like to request you to add the PayPal feature. Thumbs up!

I find the component matching the need nicely. Though its free, it has got most of the required functionality for event listing + event booking. Very good thinking by the developer team.
Kudos for making this free and also with such good functionality !!
Of course, one issue I am facing is w.r.t. comments within the code - they are in German. I am using Google translate to understand the comments in English.
Overall, I am very happy to be using this component for my portal.

It's not often I donate money for an extensions or write a review. In this case I've done both.
The reasons are clear. Worked first time both on the test and live sites, looks great and picked up my CSS no problem both times. It was very simple to figure out. But the main reason I am so happy with this is because it did exactly what I needed it to do.
If you need to create an event where the options are what time slots your participants want on a given day - such as interview times for example - then this is the only non-commercial product that does it.
On top of that (if that wasn't enough) there are options for custom fields, documents, google map, calendar / stats / scroller modules, search plugin, Special Users can run their own events and it goes on
Donate a little and all copyright / credits are removed entirely.

It's a pretty decent component. Offering a lot of functionality in a form a lot of people might need a component like this.
Unfortunately no component like this will completely fit your website. And always a bit of custom coding is needed. But this component has its code in a nearly completely obfuscated way. I've no idea if this is intentional or whether the author is a masochist liking this kind of coding. But it makes for a very tedious of process of altering the component to your liking.

This extension is brilliant - with a flavour of German engineering: clean, intuitive to use, no frills. Easy to handle not only for the webmaster, but also for the seminar director who wants to administer a seminar without having to learn about the complexity of Joomla first.
True, payment processors are missing (yet?) and - maybe even more problematic variable payment options are not integrated (with or without breakfast). Nevertheless this deserves a five star rating for outstanding ease of use, implementation of clear concepts .... and best of all - its price tag... ;-)

Superb little product. Installation was easy and it has a very user friendly interface. I use it to book players on to 5 a side football matches.
Possible future addition
Could consider if an event is repeated rolling over all those people on the waiting list who did not get a place by the time the event closes?

Seminar is great for users, at least author status, to create, organize, and manage their events.
I close my eyes, installed, and have everything setup quite easily and quickly. The modules found at the website are wonderful as well for scrolling listing of events, calendar with events listed as icons/dots/etc, and statistics.
The current component and modules are actually set in English: Just install, try out and enjoy.
