Personally I can't get this extension to work with Eventlist in a meaningful way. If I use the calendar to select a date, then eventlist will display all the events for that day. GOOD!
All functionality of eventlist is then broken - click on any filter function in eventlist and you either get thrown back to todays date or the original screen you have EL set up for. EXTREMELY BAD!

I have asked questions on schlu forum and quivva and been ignored by all.
Owner's reply

The calendar links into the dayview of the Eventlist component. After that - it's down to the component and not the calendar module.

When did you post to the extensions.qivva.com forum? I've answered all recent questions and don't see your username.

Just added this to my Event List Component installation. Worked perfectly. Found the stylesheet well commented and easy to tweak. Thank you.

Eventlist took some getting used to (i.e. 24 hour time, etc) but I grew to like it and my users seemed to figure it out easily.
Today, however, I updated it and it wiped out my entire database of events! Even if this bug gets fixed, my events are gone.
Owner's reply

Your comment is about the Eventlist component. The Eventlist calendar Module does not touch the database in any way.

Toni

I had the problem that when clicking on an event the calendar module disappeared cause the module was configured only to show when a special menu point was selected. So I added

$link.= "&Itemid=".JRequest::getCmd('Itemid');

in line 208 in helper.php

Absolutely a must to add to Eventlist main component, a powerful combination!
It let you to have a small and very nice calendar instead of a simple menu's voice .
You can put the calendar where you want as a normal module. When you click on a date, it opens the page with all the informations about the events, with a google maps (if you want) and, expecially useful, with the possibility for users to confirm their attendings at the event.

Exactly what I needed! But I can't get the calendar to be displayed on the right hand side like you have in your demo pages. I have tried to read up on this, but can find any documentation. can anyone help me please!

Thanks.

This is an overall good extension to have if you have EventList and need a calendar view. It allows a user to view the calendar events by a calendar view. Although, as nice as the UI is with the base style sheets, its disappointing to know that it doesnt involve AJAX, where you can simply click the next month and it will just load, instead of the whole page reloading. That's the biggest complaint I have. It definitely is hindering and makes the calendar view less desirable to use for many users. But overall good extension!

If you read the FAQ's on the Eventlist Calendar site or the Eventlist component site or the forums you will find the answer to this.
(Ans: You need to create a menu link to the Eventlist component)

This is the icing on the cake for EventList and if you don't have it installed, you should. Highly recommended!

Nice module.
Like the nice calendar layout,
Is a huge plus for using the eventlist component
Easy to install and works fine. I found a minor bug and got an answer within 1 hour and the necessary patches within 12 hours from Toni. Great job and a superb support!!

very useful module!
Works excellent and gives to Eventlist a big '+'

Some annoying things (not critical)

1. when changing "month" then the all page is reloading .. (needs ajax)

2. the balloon tips needs improvement.

2a.
1 event = event
2 or more = events (s)

2b.
A separator between the events if there is more than 1.
(or bullet list - number list - line break etc.)

Thanks very much for this great calendar ..
Owner's reply

1. Would love to find the time to make an ajax version :-)
2a. Adding the s is fine in English, but I'd then have to allow for other languages. Will consider this for a future enhancement
2b. You can adjust the tooltips layout using the stylesheet, or for bullet lists there is an example in the Forum on how to change to lists.

Very simple to install and use. The default styling worked well enough out of the box. Seamless integration with EventsList.

I'm not sure if this is an EventList Calendar Module Q issue or an EventList issue, but recurring items only show up once on the calendar. Our schedule is jam-packed with weekly events, but the calendar two weeks from now looks completely clear.
Can't even imagine using EventList without this module! Does exactly as advertised. Installation was easy. The minor glitch I encountered has been addressed by the author. In fact, the support from Toni and Qivva is the best around. I couldn't ask for more from either the module of the developer. Thanks, Toni ... keep up the great work.

I really like this extension and it does what it is supposed to do. The only downside I have found is that it's a little too wide to display in the left column of the template I am using. If there would be some way to alter the width of the module it would be wonderful.
Owner's reply

The reason the module is supplied with a stylesheet is that you can then adjust the calendar style to suit your website and template. The width and size of the calendar can be adjusted by changing the stylesheet.
I've now added a FAQ to the website to explain how to do this.

This is a great mini calendar module that is more flexible and customizable than some others. Support is great too. Installation is fairly easy- Make sure you read the directions and follow them!

I really recommend this module. Very easy to install and the support is great. I must say read the FAQ on their website and brows through the forums if you have any problems.
Awesome work guys :)

Thank you for creating exactly what I wanted and needed for my site. I had tried several calendars to post events for my site. The calendar itself wasn't what I needed and found Events List. It's exactly the format I wished to use. I then realised I wanted a calender that did exactly what this module does. It's as if you read my mind.

Thank you! Excellent job! No problems whatsoever for the neophyte. Works and is charming [on the frontpage].
This calendar suits the needs of our site perfectly. I like the size of the calendar and the pop-ups when hovering over the day. I haven't set up multiple calendars yet, but may take advantage of that capability soon.

Had an issue when you would click on the day (when not logged in), it would show events restricted to registered users. Ended up it was the day.php model in the EventList component, but Toni hooked me up with the fix just the same and forwarded the info to the EventList folks.

Great product - Outstanding support!
We needed a way for our users to create room reservations in Joomla! 1.5 This calendar module makes perfect use of the Eventlist extension and provides our users a very simple, elegant solution to room booking. The ability to style the calendar to your hearts content is an added bonus. The admin is a very friendly and helpful person as well.
